My experience and the review I received from my guests.
One Asia is a well known brand managed by Marriott. It was a special gathering of 8 couples (16 people) on the night of the 14th February, Velentine's day. The date and day itself says a lot about the usual expectations of any couple. I didn't find any difference between pre-booking the venue and deciding the menu with timelines for serving. As a host receiving below comments made me feel ashamed, I'm not sure if you also do feel it or you're happy with the sales you made. It was very very disappointing from the start.
Just 1 person trying to attend a group of 16 people. How do you expect him to manage all of it single handedly?
We ended up waiting for food for an entire hour, which was frustrating enough for my guests to leave and even when the food did finally come, the quality was shockingly poor. You know what are comments of my guests?
The sushi was cold and tasteless, which completely ruined its flavor. The Thai curry, which should have had a rich, creamy consistency, was too watery and lacked the depth we were expecting. The lotus stems were overly sticky and served cold, which made them difficult to eat and unpleasant in texture. Overall, the taste of every dish was underwhelming and certainly not up to the standards we’d hoped for from such a well-known establishment.
Many of them didn't even wait till deserts.
For the price and reputation of the restaurant, we were truly let down. The lack of attention to detail, both in service and food preparation, made it an experience I wouldn’t want to repeat. This assures Marriott is no more a reliable brand at least I won't trust anymore.
Thank you Marriott for making my event and experience...
Read moreThis place is a whole new experience in itself. I was here on a date with my husband and never thought that Indore will have such an amazing and authentic Chinese - Japanese restaurant. If you want to try good authentic Chinese - Japanese food then One Asia is your place to try. We were attended by Sandeep and his recommendations were excellent. He made sure our dining experience was great. On his recommendation we had our three course meal and it was worth it. I tried Sushi for the first time in my life and the one I tasted was great. I am a vegetarian and so I don't know how the real ones tastes like. But the one I tried was great and I am still craving to visit and have it again. The crystal dumplings were also good in taste. Their exotic veggies in black bean sauce served with garlic rice had a unique taste of it's own and was wroth trying. And the last we tried was their dates mousse cake was good as well. Over all my experience here was worth every penny. Highly recommended (especially for Sushi). I am gonna visit again just to try the other options in...
Read moredespite pre booking, they did not reserve the table and denied table.
when I approached the main reception about the same, then they made us wait and all of a sudden the manager told table is arranged. (Red flag)
no water served till 15 minutes after we were seated. Only after we got up and approached the waiter he bought us water.
it took 20 mins. for starters to come, another 20 to 25 mins for another dish and more than 60 mins for main course to come. No response despite again and again asking them. Every staff seemed clueless. We left without getting our main course.
the noise of cutlery crashing / washing from the kitchen, whatever it was was so loud that we could barely talk. we could also hear staff shouting in the kitchen.
When finally asked for bill. Then they senior manager arrived and told that they will not bill us.
Marriott Indore, compensating waiver of bill is no way for wasted family time.
I have provided my Business card to your executive. Bill me.
Horrible experience and waste of time and...
