Kamath Yatri Niwas is located just very close to the Lord Shiva temple.

Reservation can be made through prior advance payment of 500 per room through UPI on their no.

On arrival you wouldn't find parking just close to the entrance but the parking is along the road of Naveen Beach resort within their premises. So you will have to have a round again to go their. Though the parking is like congested. But their guide guides you properly.

Room service staff helps you remove luggage and go towards the reception which is located in first floor.

On reception counter they ask for details and full payment is asked at the same time even before going to room.

Rooms seems neat and scented. Though maintenance is issue. Also there is no lift.

Once you enter you find double bedded king size bed with small blanket and two pillow. (Actually we wanted four bedded but rooms were full so had to take two rooms).

There is no view of statue outside the window though Raj Gopura building could be seen is in some room. Also it's only glass window with no net covered with curtain.

One big Lloyd AC in every room though not functional as we hadn't opted for the same which would cost extra 500 Rs.

Also there's TV with Jio TV set top box but mostly Kannad/Telgu channels. Kind of useless for one who don't know the language. Only Hindi/English News channels were beneficial.

Lighting was not properly made. Either Room service bell weren't working and even if it works no one would come. But if told them directly there give. Just need to remind about everything even toiletries. Also there wasn't any telephone.

There wasn't proper WiFi as such. But staff helps you if you need it. They informed us that signal won't be there in room, but we wer lucky to get proper signal of WiFi.

There was chair and table and also dressing table. And cupboard with hangers.

Telling about washroom, it's clean. There's American toilet, shower Tap, bucket, basin, hook, etc. They provide with Medimix soap and towel. Hot water comes sharp at 6 (on time) till 8.

Around night there was lot of noises outside. Fan speed could not be adjusted, if lowered to 1 it used to just shut. And increased to 2 it would be too cool. One switch used to control all three LED. And some switches...

Decent Lodging Boarding facility, just 2 minutes walk from Murdeshwar Temple and the lovely beach. Stayed in AC Double Room for one night during Murdeshwar visit.

Lacks usual Kamat Hotel ambience and class. Rooms are spacious and fairly clean with wall mounted Smart LCD TV & 6" comfy Queen size bed, small wardrobe & luggage rack, Coffee table & Chairs and attached bath. Hot water available only in the morning for 2 hrs. That's a little inconvenient as one needs to shower after returning from the beach. Tariff is very reasonable, Rs. 1000/- for NAC room & Rs. 1500/- for AC room. Lodging facility is on 1st & 2nd floor, no elevator, narrow staircase. Seaview at a distance of 100 m seen from some rooms. Adjacent building is too close on one side, almost touching the window.

Their Veg Restaurant on ground floor offers yummy South Indian & North Indian & Chinese food. Idli's, Wada's and Dosa's & Buns are relishing. Try Gudbud icecream , local speciality dessert. As located in the town centre, many restaurants & souvenir shops nearby. Try Nayak's Fishland for Seafood.

Should improve on overall hygiene and service. Waiters look tired even in the morning B'fast session & are least interested in attending to customers. Need to request them even for basic requirements.

But being an old property, well patronized for lodging and boarding.

Overall satisfied with the stay & food & would come back on nxt short visit...

If a person books a ac room that means he is looking for ac room for his stay. When I approached reception staff he says I have no idea why it's not working today only, I also have a warranty card for this new ac, I can show it. Am I going to call their service centers and get it repaired or what? They don't even have a another ac room also to allot in this situation. Staff says we will refund 500 for ac charges, but refund money is not the matter here, either they don't know how to treat customer if they allot ac room or they think customers are fool to accept what ever they say. Basic common sense if they are giving room they should ensure things are fine in that room. Instead say we will refund that portion and make people stay for which they had not opted. In my case it's already night, I have a family and I cannot leave this room and search at that time instead had to adjust for that night. Not recommended to stay here. Food charges are also very high. Staff should have some manners to discuss with customers on their prob and resolve it, instead of that directly say we will refund portion just manage with what...
