I usually don’t write much reviews but some experience are so bad that you have no option. We stayed in this hotel for a day and I was travelling with my baby under 2 years old. The morning when we went for the complimentary breakfast our baby was a bit cranky and started crying. She was eating a medhu bara and some juice. Because she was cranky we wanted to take her upstairs and wrapped the half eaten medhu bara in a tissue and asked the staff to give us a take away glass with some more juice so that we can feed her later. She was crying for the juice. To which the GM Balan an old guy said we can’t take the food to our room it’s the hotel’s policy. We were shocked we said it’s not for an adult. Does the same rule apply for an adult and a less than 2 year old baby. He started saying I don’t argue with people, you eat here it’s not allowed upstairs. I told them it’s for the baby, is it for us? She is feeling a bit cranky so we are taking her half eaten food. He said a big NO, if we need food in our room it’s chargeable and walked away. We said we have eaten breakfast if we order anything the food will get wasted. It’s a half eaten vada, we opened and showed him the vada also. At that point I almost broke into tears. As a human being and as a mother I was so shocked with this irony of the place- being a God’s destination where the prime service is supposed to be giving, forgiveness and seva, a 2 year old baby as per the hotel policy can stay hungry, wasting food is okay as per hotel’s policy but taking the half eaten vada and a small take away juice glass which she has already drank from is chargeable. We have travelled to so many places and has always experienced welcoming behaviour for babies. It’s a shock that a God’s pilgrimage place has such a hotel that left us so startled about how they...
Read moreIf you are visiting Murudeshwar definitely you can chose RNS residency as your place of stay. We decided on it and it was perfect for our group of 10 people. On 25th December'24 we checked in by 1:25 pm and had 4 rooms for us. Rooms are very clean and the view facing the sea shore just made us to spend as much time there as we can. My in-laws and my sister-in-law's family all including 3 senior citizens in the group had a wonderful view to enjoy. Murudeshwar being small town we had the temple to explore and Gopuram to visit. By evening before sunset all of us went to Gopuram and as the elderlies were tired so we dropped them at RNS and then rest 7 of us(4 cousins and we 3 : sister-in-laws, brother-in-law) went to explore the evening market. Kids before leaving for evening market also went to the swimming pool which remains open until 6 pm.||Dinner at RNS is of very good quality, recommend to everyone. 7 of us went for temple darshan in the evening however set of parents were tired to come out on 25th. |4 rooms (set of 2 interconnected) were booked with 2 extra beds which were of very good quality.|As RNS is next to the statue so 2nd trip was possible early morning at 6:30 am on |26th Dec. Sister-in-law with her husband took set of parents for temple darshan and I took charge of kids for breakfast. |The food at breakfast is very tasty and freshly prepared. Idlis, upma, rawa halwa and rest of all were very tasty. As we had to check out for our trip to Udupi the healthy, tasty breakfast made all of us happy to set for our trip in the van.|The van driver for Udupi trip was also suggested from RNS reception desk whom we found very good. |Tempo traveller charged us INR 9000/- for the trip from RNS residency to Udupi via 3 different...
Read moreRNS Residency enjoys a prime location right next to the iconic Murudeshwar Temple, making it one of the best options for anyone visiting the area. Opting for a seafacing room is highly recommended the views are absolutely worth it and add a special charm to the stay.
The property includes complimentary breakfast, which was decent and freshly prepared. However, the spread is quite limited, and it would be great if they could add more variety to the menu.
One important point to note is that the hotel is currently undergoing renovation work. The construction runs from morning until evening, which can be quite disturbing if you're planning a longer stay. Luckily, our stay was just for a day, so it didn’t affect us much.
Another thing to be mindful of is their very strict checkout policy, so make sure to plan your trip timing carefully. Also, if you are checking in late at night, it’s better to carry some food and water with you as the inhouse restaurant remains closed, and there aren’t many options available nearby.
Despite these minor inconveniences, our overall experience was good. The hotel’s location, the breathtaking sea views, and the convenience of being right next to Murudeshwar Temple make it worth considering. I would definitely recommend RNS Residency for anyone planning a temple visit or a short...
