Mascot Paradise Convention Center — Hotel in Kannur

In October 2022, my friends and I went to Kannur for a reception. The host had booked rooms for us in Mascot Paradise Hotel. This hotel is located just ten minutes from the Kannur Railway Station. We were a group of four. Seeing the outside of the hotel, I wondered what the rooms would look like. I was pleasantly surprised and relieved when I entered my room! It was huge, with a large wardrobe, dressing table with vertical mirror, TV, Mini Fridge and a queen size bed. There is a medium size uncovered balcony attached to this room. The sheets and comforter were very clean. The towels were not too clean, so ensure you bring your own set. Toiletries are not provided either. In the bathroom, there is no shower curtain, so there are chances of the water flowing until the door. No geezer is installed in the bathroom since the management said they have solar on the roof. But if you are going to take a bath early in the morning, then let me warn you that you will not get hot water. I checked in around 10:30 a.m. and checked out the next day around 9:30 a.m. We did not eat breakfast the next day in the restaurant, but ate lunch in their in house restaurant, Cafe Maysoon, on the day we arrived. We also enjoyed glasses of piping hot filter coffee and a few local delicacies in the Cafe Maysoon located near the hotel's front gate. My friends stayed in the suite and I must say, this room was extremely spacious as well. Once you enter, you can see half of the room to the left with a Dressing Table with Mirror, Mini Fridge, Plush Sofa and Two Chairs. The Sofa opens out to a bed There is only one bathroom for the Suite Now moving to the other side of the room, you can find two twin size beds. My friends asked for an extra one as they were a total of three people. There is sufficient parking for two and four wheelers. This hotel situated in a suitable location at Kannur with a walkable distance to tailway station and bus stops. Rooms may be old but spacious . Checked in at 5pm on 15 th Sunday and Vishu day( festival for Keralites) to attend a public function arranged in the same hotel premises at their own meeting hall. Because I was also a cordinator of this program ; i should have to attend by 6pm in the meeting. On that day only one person was availabe in this hotel having multiple responsibility of receptionist, room boy etc etc. He said that this is happened due to holiday. He gave me a bottle of water, bath soap and key of my room from reception and I myself boarded in to the room. And in bath room no water in any of the taps. Call the receptionist through mob.number provided and he promised me , some body will attend the problem. But even after 15 minutes no result has been happened. I complainted to Make my trip through which I was done the booking. They contacted the receptionist through my phone , his response was a cold one. But the security man ; an aged person who accomponied the receptionist act positively. He says sorry to me for the inconvenience and immediately arranged another room for fresh up. I managed with the temperory facility arranged by this old man and he promised me to hand over my own room after maintanance ; when I came back from the function. |After the function, when I reached the hotel the same security person cleared the water problem and helped me to shift my luggage to the room allotted for me . And once again he say sorry to me for the difficulties happened. |I requested to the hotel management to give promotion to that old guy as the hotel manager with out any delay ; if so happen, it will be an advantage for your hotel...

Awesome place.. Been here before for my friend's marriage reception at the party hall.. Was in town this fine and didn't have the a.c. Working at my place.. found a room here at just less than a grand through make my trip and was totally worth it.. Nice clean spacious rooms, powerful ac, working mini fridge, clean toilets with tubs, tv(didn't use it though) etc. More than anything, the security who was in charge(it was ad Easter Sunday web we checked in) is a very nice guy, very helpful and pleasant. I just booked the save room for tomorrow as well.. I was pretty skeptic when I read the reviews in make my trip, but no mosquito trouble or bad service as the others complained about.. Going to give the same review in mane my trip as well.. Hope the feeling does not change before checking out..

Ps: have not tried the restaurant though.. Got a lot of our favorites to get food from like MVK, Onden, Indian coffee house, sita pani and many more that we couldn't just get time due testing it here. And just confirmed that MVK has home delivery in...
