Payyambalam beach in Kannur is a nice long and wide beach. I guess the city corporation is taking care of it as none of the resorts are using it for their guests. I assume, that if you actually want to relax on the beach, you have to bring your own chair and towel, umbrella if necessary. Also to access from some areas it's challenging due to the rock foundation place along the beach. The beach is usually busy in the morning, you can see lots of people jogging or walking. Day time is empty due to the heat. It gets busy at sunset again, with lots of people to come and enjoy the beach and surroundings in the evening. The beach is nice, but should be kept more clean, especially by people visiting. What also worries me is a planned highway by the beach. How would the access to the beach be then, especially from the resorts, hotels and homestays located across the road from the beach. Let's see in two years...that is the plan for the...
