Hari Govinda's — Hotel in Karnataka

Room: We got a room which was very small accommodating a king size bed and a desk.... The window was opening to a wall and neither was any view nor ventilation in the room.....

Service: The service looks good from the outside which is not the reality.....they will talk nicely to you, but our requests were ignored.... Basic accessories in a room i.e. toothbrush, toothpaste, tissues, towels were not provided at first....and when we asked for it, it was given as if a favour on us. That too only one set was given instead of two as we were a couple. There were no hangers in the wardrobe, and again we needed to ask.

Location: Not very close to the centre..... there's not even a proper car parking of their own, they told us to park on the road side.....where the place is full of dust.

Food: No proper coordination between the staff....one says the breakfast is free and included in the tarriff and the other staff says it's payable..... So unfortunately, though the breakfast was free we had to pay for it.

Breakfast was good

Everything was manageable until we were doing the checkout process.... While checking out of the room, the socket of the room key card holder was loose and fell down.....it was not even attached properly....we didn't want to raise any issues on that so we quietly placed it back in its original place and left.

But during checkout, they were rechecking the room and asking us for each and every detail, and treating us as burglars.....when they went through the card holder and found it was detached to the wall, they started talking rudely and told us to pay for it! When in reality it was detached from before....it was not even broken that we have to pay! It was just to fix it with a technician to the wall..... These folks argued with us and wasted 1 hour on this matter as we were already running late for the day....

They have renovated the hotel so well but not taken care of service and rooms.

Not worth the price is what I want to conclude. And beware before check-in, make sure you check the room well if possible click pictures or video for proof and also ask about the...

This hotel is a good choice for stay in Mysore as itbis centraly located all the major tourist locations are within 3km proximity from the Hotel including the ksrtc bus stand .

The highlights of the hotel : The rooms are decent, clean, well-organized and is equipped with all the essentials you might need. Very hospitable staff in all departments like the security, reception, room service, house keeping staff and at the restaurant. They are always on their toes to serve the guests.

We went in an offseason and the room charges was on a higher side considering it was an off season travel. The restaurant charges are on a premium side considering the limited options available in the menu as well as other eating options in the surrounding 2 to 3kms.

Specifically to mention: Mr. Harish who served the welcome drink was very pleasent and welcoming the guests with a smile. Reception staff Mr. Abhishek was very cordial to help with any specific requirements of te guests. Mr. Varun who is the sercurity incharge helped us always to find an auto and ensured the driver knew our destination stop to ensure safty of the guests.

Its an ideal and safe place to stay for women travelers, family, elderly travellers, International travellers and for business stays. Parking is available in front of the hotel. The Buffet breakfast is great The restaurant is maintained very clean and airy.

Improvement areas for the hotel: Currently they have only North Indian lunch as a menu option available. It will be great to have South Indian delicacies especially the local Mysore famous food options and cuisines which tell the bygone tales of Mysore and its heritage.
