All the staff – from guards to reception, restaurant to room service were excellent. Even the towel décor in the bedroom was lovely, a lot of heart went into their work. The menu of Winter Yard is another example of passion and pride going into what you do - every page tells not only the dishes served but also something special about Munnar. ||||The rooms were clean, but too dark. There were only 4 very dim bulbs, sparsely located in the room. I think the idea was to create cosyness, but the result was eeriness. Need to increase lighting points or at least the wattage of your bulbs. Drawing the curtains apart did help let in a little light, but only during the day.||||We asked for a refrigerator and for a faulty bathroom light to be changed, and their housekeeping staff came immediately. Amazing service.||||But the kettle sometimes works and sometimes doesn't, even after plugging and unplugging it at different plug points. We called to have it changed but the housekeeping staff advised us to try again because "it is like that, it will work soon". And indeed it did. But this on-and-off thing happened regularly.||||The linoleum floor cover in your lift is torn and badly needs to be changed.||||We visited in February when it was still cool, so having no air-conditioning was fine. My experience right from the check in was totally awful. We checked in by around 3PM on 1st Sep 2023 and were welcomed by the arrogant attitude of receptionist. What we see in virtually is entirely different from what we actually get once we check in. Pictures in the internet are deceiving. We even told about such a surprise between the virtual claim Vs reality to the receptionist and his reply was a sweet smile as if he is hearing it for the 'nth' time. ||Upon getting in, there was more disappointment as one of the room toilets was stenchy. There were no towels in the toilet and had to remind the reception three times for getting it. Moreover, the toilets are really small without proper lighting and looks untidy. ||Rooms are exactly as seen in the photos, but the property is old and so is the ceiling cracks etc. As per the virtual claim, it has a great balcony view, but the balcony actually opens to a colony kind of an area in the immediate vicinity and ofcourse the sceanic beauty far away. ||Rooms are priced exhorbitantly high considering the facilities provided.||Only attraction is the proximity to town and there are lot of eating joints nearby. But there are many other properties nearby which would be at a much lesser price.||Previous day's dishes could be seen in front of the rooms even during the next day afternoon which shows the kind of hygienic standards maintained by the hotel. ||Final recommendation - Please go for this only if there are no...
