Patel Restaurant — Restaurant in undefined

Stopped by on a Saturday night for dinner around 7pm when the restaurant was mostly empty. It got pretty packed by like 7:45pm though.

Inside looks like most restaurants in Munnar. About 4-5 rows of tables on both sides of the aisle.

Service was quick. Food came out within 10 minutes of us ordering. I thought the food was just okay. Nothing stood out to us. We tried the paneer pakora (they used paneer cubes instead of slices to make it, so it look different from the photos), vegetarian fried rice (which was good), veg korma, Gobi 65, roti, and a peas pulao. Dishes were mostly on the spicy side, so we found it hard to find things for our baby to eat. Generally green peas pulao tends to be bland, which is why we had ordered it. The Gobi 65 had the breading come out from the cauliflower pieces, which was weird. Veg korma was pretty good, but spicy again.

Overall, decent food, but not really 4.5...

We went there today first for lunch ordered kadai panner , butter roti , dal tadka , and rice . Taske was ok ok... Then we thought of going back again in dinner ordered alu partha which is having less salt in alu.. then ordered dal tadka n roti... Now we have got the dal which is smelling foul once we told them they told ok will replace it and bought another daal in 10 min which some more tadka and still same foul smell it means they are just bluffing and serving stale food . And we told them , it ok don't pay for it... And spoil our lunch plan. Given 5 star so google won't hide it . As we have also gone thier seeing lots of good reviews.. but it low than usual expectation. Take your chance if you get fresh food or one day old one or two day old .. your...

It is small restaurant from outside but serves very good food. We ordered ghee fulka, Mix veg dry, Plain curd. Taste of mix veg dry was very good and it was not spicy no extra oil or masala it was like homemade food. Roti was also good and soft, initially he did not spread ghee properly but when we requested again he spread it properly and gave us. Prices are also very reasonable Ghee fulka - 25rs Plain curd small bowl - 25rs Mix veg dry - 165rs Quantity of curd and sabji was good. Size of roti was also enough as per price.

Only thing missing was UPI payment was not...
