GARGGI KUMARAKOM HOMESTAY — Hotel in Kerala

We were a group of 6 ladies.The rooms are good,they have a unique style,the sofas are bit old though.Bathrooms are spacious,hot water facility is there.All are plus points for the stay.But I will give only 2 stars for the whole place cos their service is very very bad. The whole place has only one caretaker lady,she is the chef cum housekeeper cum security cum maid cum everything.The owner has to be actually blamed.For not keeping atleast one more staff.The gate is always closed,no security to open the gate,if we inform them in advance they will open the gate.Tge lady there stands smiling even if we are carrying four bags and one bag keeps coming down.We are asked whether we really want the welcome drink which is a salty sugary drink mixed with some drops of lemon juice.No drinking water unless you ask for it.A single towel was provided which was already torn,when we asked she provided several of them.Then we had a pregnant lady with us,when we asked for mosquito repellent coil she asked back whether there are mosquitoes,in a place just next to backwaters.The lady is in a hurry to finish her chores ,need not blame her , she is the all in all there.she single handedly prepared dinner for all of us.there was another group also which had come to stay,but they were not seen in the morning,dunno if they left cos of the indifferent service. After we finished breakfast we sat in the same seat chatting for sometime ,this lady comes and asks us if we have finished eating hinting us to leave the table if we have .when we asked for a second cup of coffee along with breakfast,(after the bed coffee)she asks us back,whether we want it again. We paid a sum of 8000 plus for the rooms alone,so we do expect basic amenities like drinking water,toiletries ,towels etc.Food she prepared was tasty,but when we asked for more it was already over.we had to order through food apps . Overall the service is really unsatisfactoru and it will be better if more staff is arranged. The garden is not maintained,I mean the swings are all cracked up especially the iron ones,the benches are broken.the well is kept uncovered.one of our footwear was bitten by a dog and left elsewhere . The place doesn't deserve to be paid this...
