Noahs Ark Inn — Hotel in Kerala

The Noah' Ark Inn in Old Munnar is a very cheap 800Rs per room with its own en suite shower room which is very convenient ally situated. You can walk to Munnar from here in about 10 minutes or catch a tik tik for 30Rs. There are some very good dining opportunities close by.||||Manuel the owner will arrange all of your site seeing and travel requests at a fraction of the cost of the main touts on the main road.||||If you want to get a beer or a glass of wine you need to go to Isaccs Hotel in main Munnar which is a 5 min and 30Rs tik tik journey away.||||The 100Rs 5 hour local bus trip from Munnar to Perriyar is spectacular and not to be missed.||||Munnar is approx 2500m above sea level so be sure to bring a fleece and a pair of socks.||||When we were there in early March 2017 neither a fan or A/C were required.||||Munnar is famous for its national park and tea plantations.||||Definitely worth a 2 to 3 day trip. I stayed at Noah's Ark Inn for a night during my trip to Munnar in October 2017.||||I can state that it was easily one of the poorest experiences I've had in a hotel. The rooms had no ventilation and hence a musty smell. The locks of the rooms and the bathrooms were not functioning (imagine having to sing so that no one enters the loo by mistake when you're inside:-P). The fittings in the bathroom was so poor that water was leaking continuously. The hotel is a pure lodging and does not even serve tea/ coffee.||This place charges a bomb compared to other hotels in the vicinity, especially taking into account the poor facilities.||||While this hotel is not located outside the city, it was not exactly close to city center either.||||Cleanliness 2.5/5||Location 3/5||Facilities...

First of all do not expect a grand entrance for the place.The entrance looks like an entrance to an ordinary shop.If we move past that,you are welcomed with an unclean room with stains all over the place.I wonder when the last maintenance took place. There is hot water available ,but unfortunately my friends were not able to enjoy this luxury even though I was able to(probably due to some timing issues). The only positive side to look for is the cost of the room, which is around 800 Rs.||FYI: Wi-fi is included,but had some issue connecting and went with mobile data.||||Better stay away from the place unless you are budget...
