I recently visited Green leaf and had a disastrous experience. The staff's behavior was unprofessional and rude, while the manager's arrogance was off-putting. I ordered the beef roast, but they served me a beef curry instead. When I politely pointed out the mistake, they argued with me and told me I didn't know what a roast was.
The staff further exacerbated the situation by teasing me, implying that I was ignorant and didn't know what I was talking about. This condescending attitude was unacceptable and made me feel belittled and disrespected.
To make matters worse, the chicken piece in the biryani was stale and not fresh. The prices were also exorbitant and we were overcharged.
I have visited with my 5 months old infant, who was peacefully sleeping on her basinet . However the staff's giggling and loud noise disturbed the ambiance, and one of them dragged the chair, startling my baby awake.
To improve, I suggest:
Remind staff to maintain a respectful noise level, especially when customers have infants or young children.
Unless Green leaf takes serious steps to train their staff and manager, I'd advise everyone to avoid this place. The combination of poor service, subpar food, and arrogant staff makes for a toxic dining...
Read moreNOT AT ALL RECOMMENDED. I would have chosen to give 0 star, but google asks to give atleast 1. Staff is very adamant. They do not entertain for anything. We were waiting for 45 min yesterday. And reception person kept saying you catch your own table. Food quality is worst and taste is not at all good. We asked to help us for choosing dishes to order. Waiter said, jaldi jaldi karo jaldi lake dega. Choose something from the menu. When We asked something from menu, he kept on saying this is not available.... that is not available... We had ordered chicken 65, chicken biryani and shejwan fried rice. Shejwan rice had very foul smell... Chicken biryani had stone like hard chicken pieces. They do not come to you for cleaning the table as well. And worst thing is, someone else will come and share chair on your table.... Your privacy is on toss....
I would rather recommend to nearby restaurant Ali baba 41 dishes. Today I had fabulous lunch here.
Note: no any promotion from Ali baba. This is my...

If you're in Munnar, Green Leaf Restaurant is a must-visit! The food here is absolutely delicious, with generous portions and very reasonable prices. We had five meals, and each one was better than the last.
A standout dish was the Karimeen — it was incredibly flavorful, and the gravy that came with it was top-notch. It’s definitely something you won’t want to miss if you love seafood.
The restaurant offers plenty of parking space, which is a big plus. However, the cleanliness of the toilet could use a little improvement. That said, everything else was fantastic!
Overall, I would choose Green Leaf over Ali Baba Munnar any day. The food, value, and cozy atmosphere are far superior. For vegetarians, I also recommend checking out SN Ariyas, which is another great option.
For non-veg lovers, Green Leaf is the clear winner. Their food is just on another level. Highly...
