Horrible and risky too! You run the risk of spending your vacation in a hospital. It's no longer what it used to be. And mind you, this isn't a hasty review. I'm writing this after visiting it thrice within a span of 3 months. If it was bad in November 2022, it was worse in December 2022, and was the worst in January 2023.
Having vowed not to go there again, the reason I stepped into it the last time was coz of my veggie friend who wouldn't step into anything that prepares nonveg. Once out, within an hour we were all patting our stomach in a bid to subdue the ache. Looks like these fellows are only bothered about filling their coffers. And what not, their detestable attitude is as wretched as their food. The ambience too isn't worth mentioning. It's like a noisy market place and at times feels like those cramped shanty hotels at pilgrimages where noisy crowds jostle to get a seat to grab whatever grub they can, and the shouting waiters are in a hurry to pocket the money and send you all away.
The food isn't worth writing about. Both the South Indian and North Indian meals are equally bad. Everything, including the Thali dishes and the watery sambar, reeks of the same masala that is omnipresent in almost everything on the menu. Thanks to the generous use of the spicy masala, every dish is pungent, making it prickly to the nose and caustic to the intestine. There's nothing that's mild and gentle on...
Read moreAs a professional chef with extensive experience in the culinary industry, including working at prestigious five-star hotels and owning my own food business, I must express my utmost dissatisfaction with the dining experience at this establishment.
The menu offered a lackluster selection of dishes, with the Paneer Masala and Veg Korma being particularly egregious. The Paneer Masala was characterized by an unpleasant odor, an upsetting sensation in the stomach, and an unusual combination of sweetness and spiciness. The store-bought paneer pieces, which were the only redeeming quality, were likely due to the fact that they were sourced from Kerala.
The Veg Korma was equally disappointing, featuring overcooked vegetables and an unpleasant odor. The Dal Fry and Jeera Rice were also subpar, lacking flavor and texture.
To add insult to injury, the owners of this establishment, who hail from Rajasthan, mocked my family when they were astounded by the high cost of the meal, which amounted to 800 rupees. The quality of the food was so poor that I cannot fathom the amount of toilet paper required to clean myself after dining there.
In conclusion, I strongly advise against dining at this establishment and recommend seeking out more reputable...
Read moreGenerally I have always judged 1 star rated reviews in platforms, thinking them emanating because of some personal bias. They are often written in angry tone, devoid of logic but emotions, eventually making the reader not taking them seriously. I will not repeat that emotionally charged, logic deprived and screamingly angry tone. (Its long but setting the context was necessary). Annapurna veg resturant doesn't justifies its name at all. Entire Staff is disrespectful, rude and not bothered of your presence at all. Its seems they there is internal war going on within the staff OR may be they don't care as they have enough people incoming. They are always miffed at you, not heeding to your calls and requests. Adding to the worry, the food is pathetic with exorbitant prices. Truly not a place to go. Better try a roadside stall atleast you will save a lot of money there. Completely...
