OYO Sreekrishna Kailas Inn — Hotel in Kerala

Stayed at the Sree Krishna Kailas Inn for a night during November and was extremely pleased by the experience.||||Right opposite to the side gate of Mammiyoor temple, opposite to Rudratheertham, the pilgrim centre of Mammiyoor Devaswom, the location is simply great. So close to Mammiyoor and Guruvayur temples and yet not too crowded a location. With many shops and restaurants very close by, a very practical location!||||The Inn is set up in a large house with 11 very spacious rooms - all renovated and very modern in terms of facilities. Rooms are air conditioned, have a television with many channels to choose from, a modern bath with western water closet and bath room with geyser. Furnishing is in Kerala style with large wooden cots, new beds and fresh bed linen.||||Common areas are a contrast to the modern rooms. Common areas look like a Kerala home from 30 years ago and the small reception cubicle still looks like an old time lodge from pre-independence era. It is all still kind of cute and interesting - and very neat and clean.||||It was possible to pre-order a very simple breakfast and some tea. We had dosa, chutney, sambar and tea prepared at the kitchen and served in the common dining table ground floor. A very homely breakfast - very tasty.||||The care taker and manager were very friendly and helpful. They even arranged a tour of the Guruvayur template Elephant camp housing nearly 60 elephants that belong to the temple!!! Literally cheated by the property that too in mid night around 2:30. I booked through yatra app. When I show the booking confirmation. Receptionist not ready to check . He said room is full . Same thing happened to group of 5 elderly ladies . They argued with this ladies and informed the receptionist that ,they we will file a complaint in police station. Thereafter hotel management made arrangements of for them with free of cost . Whereas i too diverted to nearby hotel in railway station and charged Rs. 2400 . Already i paid 2000 in yatra. All I wanted a room in midnight to get sleep and forget the scam. Next day somebody from same hotel asking money for my booking which i have not stayed . Even I travelled many states in India but this kind of scam never happened to me . I forgot about my money, thought of dropped in...

I would like to split review to 2 parts. One is room booking experience and other is about room.

Booking : It was not a great experience for me. I booked the room via OYO and paid through OYO itself. When I reached the hotel, the owner was not ready to allocate room. There was some issue between OYO and Hotels. Eventually I had to cancel my booking and paid again for a room.

Room : Room was clean but the bed sheet and blanket were not. AC was working but it wasn’t fully efficient. There was no drinking water initially, upon my request they gave me a bottle of water (not new bottle). The service was good and enough parking...
