I had a quick visit for dinner on the inaugural day at the newly opened "Bikash Babu Sweets and Pure Veg Restaurant" in my hometown. They had a good dining area and it's indeed a good family veg restaurant in the temple town. The staff were courteous but since it was the first day, they were finding it hard to manage the crowd.

FOOD

\\Pricing is on the higher side\\🤑

A wide spread of menu. Gulab Jamun was great.👍🏼 Punjabi Lassi was fine and very thick. 👍🏼 Badam milk was average. The level of sweetness in these were a tad bit low, but it was satisfactory. Sugar is Sugar, so I was not feeling guilty for such serve. Varieties of sweets were so attractive since most of the locals are not familiar with Bengali sweets. It's a good opportunity for them. I'd prefer their Chaat items and Sweets. Not so satisfied with their Aloo Paratha, Chole Bature and Pav Bhaji which I had. The gravies/curries lacked the flavour punch as they should be. Maybe I'd try them again in a few months when they are going in the flow.

INTERIOR You can experience a good ambience. Interiors are well with great wallpapers, food posters and so much.👍🏼 Air conditioned. 🆒❄️ I liked the neon work at the wall.👌🏽 The sweet display was so appealing and tidy.✨

HANDWASH and TOILET Well maintained and kept clean.👍🏼 I found a couple of clean toilets. The handwashing area had a huge mirror, hand wash soap dispensers and a wash basin for kids. There were no napkins here and at the table. I am sure they will fix everything very soon.

PARKING At your own risk. No dedicated car parking area. Maybe for a car or two. Two wheelers can be cramped to some corners but make sure you park responsibly because it's a busy-fast-moving junction.

All in all, I'm very satisfied and happy that Bikash Babu outlet is here!🎊

All the best to the team and Welcome to...

The experience at this particular restaurant was quite unpleasant, as we had to wait for a considerable amount of time for their order to be delivered. The staff members were not attentive and did not prioritize their customer's needs, which resulted in a poor experience.

We had gone to the restaurant to purchase some sweets, and was recommended to order samosas as well. Although we asked if the samosas could be delivered quickly, the staff member assured that it would not be a problem. However, after billing, the staff did not mention anything about the samosas and finally we had to inquire about it.

What followed was a ten-minute wait in the restaurant with no assistance from the staff members. Despite there being a person sitting on the sofa gazing at his phone, no one attended. We became increasingly impatient, and only then did the staff member go to the kitchen to prepare the order. It took half an hour for the order to be delivered, which was not a satisfactory experience.

Additionally, it was surprising that the person on the sofa was a responsible person for the outlet. This showed a lack of responsibility and accountability towards customers' needs. Such behavior from a restaurant that is considered premium is unacceptable.

In conclusion, we had a poor experience at the restaurant, due to the unprofessional behavior of the staff members and the lack of accountability from the responsible person. The restaurant should work towards improving their customer service to avoid such situations...

The food was definitely not worth the price. I have tried the one in Kochi, the quality & taste in Kochi outlet is definitely worth the hype but here the food experience was completely dissappointing.. we ordered executive thali which was really bad, the rice was so poorly made & curries were extremely salty.. only thing that tasted good in thaali was the jalebi & barfi.. then we tried chole bhature, which was okayish still far better than the thaali.. the chole was again very salty.. Lassi was creamy, thick & tasted good but the quantity & price dont justify.. we also tried gajar ka halawa, which was pathetic! Also there menu is crazily priced!! For paneer dishes, the price is 400-500Rs.. if you eat in any good restaurant the non veg might cost you this much.. seriously disappointed ..!! If you end up going here, just order chole bhature, you get 3 bhature with chole & jalebi.. also you can try...

Honestly, they had the most authentic samosa-chana-chat taste ever. Their poori-dum-aloo is exquisite. It is pricey, though. Parking is practically Nil. Hardly 2 cars at best. If you are walking to the eatery, well n good. They are very adamant about vegan options. No matter what you tell them, they will not alter their ghee-butter preferences and compromise their taste. So that was disappointing, me being vegan n all. Service is ok, sluggish, but ok. One of the servers carry a certain attitude going as far as to almost ridicule you for having choices. That is not appreciated. Seating is a little congested, for the price we pay. So overall it is ok, tasty but not very fancy as they advertise.
