Don't be dared to book this hotel!
Horrible experience, one of the worst hotel stays of my life I must say. This room is worth 900 to 1000 INR per night, single penny more than that is foolish. (We paid around ₹4000/- 😭)
First of all, room was small, dark and stinking. Bathroom was not cleaned (If I mention the details of it, people reading this review will be 'yukk'). No Towels, Soap etc provided. (When we camedown after first days shower, we checked at reception.They gave Soap, we told no need of Towels now as we had our own towels with us).
After seeing there restaurant, we did not have lunch or dinner there. (One night, we just had fruits for dinner, just to avoid the horrific experience of having dinner there. Breakfast was ok, Dosa was not that bad. Idly was below average, Pongal was too. Hotel staff must be made aware of there is a word called 'hygiene'.
There were some liquid in offering as part of breakfast, which looked like Tea/Coffee. If it was really Coffee & Tea (that's what hotel staff told!), I must say i had worst Tea & Coffee of my life already. We could not have more than 2 sips & left. We saw other customers could not drink that as well.
Cherry on the cake was, at the time of check out. I told the reception guy that i will make my full payment through Fabhotels mobile application. He told, even if i make full payment online, i have to pay again at the reception by cash/google pay also. Because, if i make online paymnet, it will not come to them it seems. I don't know how i controlled my laughter, after requesting him couple of time, i felt that is useless. And, paid the remianing amount (I had paid Advance via online while booking) via UPI.
Wife was not working. They did not five password for the Wifi which had signal in our room. The Wifi for which we got password, was not at all uaving signals in our floor. Staff knows only Tamil and it is a nightmare to ask anything from them.
I don't want to relive those horrible moments by remembering each point to write this here, so will end it.
I know Kodai was very crowded on those days and all the hotels, transportations were sold out. But, if any hotel gives service like this, that is an insult to that profession/Industry. I will never trust Fabhotels and never ever will book any of the Fabhotels. Thank you for ruining our holiday.

Read morePossibly, the only positive aspect of this hotel is the location. Rest, everything is absolutely pathetic.
We (3 adults + 1 child) checked into this property on the 23rd June for 3 nights.
First off, the 2 rooms which were provided to us were in the basement with a couple of big white walls for a "view" outside the window. We were asked to dial 9 if we required anything. But, they didn't inform us that there were no phones inside the room! On inquiring, all they told us is they'd give us a cell phone number where we can call whenever we need anything. How utterly convenient, but the best part is I was never given that so-called phone number. I did leave a feedback to Fab Hotels customer care and they reverted with a statement that in some rooms, the phones were out for maintenance. Then, the management should provide us rooms accordingly, no? Although, there are TVs in both the rooms, the set top box was missing in one of the TV. I mean, is the set top box out for maintenance as well? Their restaurant is under construction as well. So, we had to get tea/ coffee from outside ouraelves plus on requesting 2-3 times, we were provided with the buffet breakfast in our rooms.
But most of all, what irked me was the fact that there is zero etiquette from the management or the guests who were having a gala time at the reception entire day and evening without even thinking once of other guests who might be residing inside the property. Absolutely not acceptable. Even after shutting the room door, I could clearly hear all the shouting and "fun" everyone was having upstairs, which completely disturbed the little peace that we were seeking.
Anyone trying to book these guys, please call and ask clearly about room telephones, buffet breakfast, peaceful environment, and the restaurant. I'm completely dissatisfied with Abirami inn and also with Fab Hotels, from whom I got zero support except a small apology and handful of excuses!

There is no lift and you have to climb stairs with your luggage and room service guy will walk along with you with free hands. He will not help you to get your luggage. No smart keys. Opening with manual key is a rocket science for which room service guy will give you the knowledge transfer :) No dental kid provided No bath towel provided. When I asked, they Said, it will provided in the morning. But it never came. Called reception / room service from intercom sevaral times, but no response at all 6.milk powder or coffee kit not provided. I physically went down and asked the receptionist. He said, he will send it in 5 mins but it never came No water bottle provided. You have to walk one corner to get water from water dispenser. And hot water flow will be very low. You have to wait for 10 mins to fill one full water bottle of hot water. Open car parking after crossing a steep slope. You have to climb in 45 degree angle slope when you take your car out. If you are a new driver, then just think before you book. There is a bar very next to the hotel, mostly you can see quarrel or street fight in front of it which will make you unsafe 10.water heater not worked after 5 mins of usage. We wait for 30 mins, but it never heats up.
Don't think am expecting more and the list above are basic needs for the comfortable stay. Because, out side of kodaikanal, for the same 3900 INR, I stayed in a 3 star hotel with top class hospitality and facilities.
In short, if you are frequent traveller and looking for a safe, comfortable stay with hospitality, then DO NOT go fab hotel abirami inn. Waste of money and will spoil your...
