Hi all, Generally I refrain to post negative reviews, but here can not resist 😞. Checked in on 3-Sept after telephonic confirmation on hotel number for 2 adults and 1 child 13 years old. They told child will be treated as adult only and we agreed for additional matress. Tariff 3500 (Seems higher as per online booking various sites)
Nevertheless, agreed and concluded. Upgrade and demand more money without guests confirmation Upon arrival Dinesh were present at reception and after inquiring about temple time, site seeing around we went 3rd floor and entered in room. To complete checkin formalities I came down. While making card payment Dinesh told to pay 4600. When confronted, he told considering your family comfort he upgraded room. How can they upgrade and demand more money without customer knowledge and confirmation?
Room too small and not provided extra matress Upon shifting from 3rd floor to 1st after not accepting the upgrade found the room was too small not even worth of 2000. No curtsy to ask for extra bed, after reading other reviews came to know about the tactics of earning extra money with upgrades. We have to sleep on one bed 3 members
Edibles - moongdal packet were opened by someone Thank god we informed over phone about this else they might had charged for the same.
Early morning we asked driver to be ready at 5:30AM to start to temple Our driver were in receiption for almost half an hour to get 2 cars parked in front of our car. The worst part is no one bothered to check and get the other guest who parked in front and asked to remove. Finally we have to get Rikshaw and go to temple. I told at receiption that hotel is liable to pay my Rikshaw bill (to-fro 200) By 11:00AM we wanted to checkout and told that with food bill due will be deducting 200. They connected with Dinesh over phone He was not at all willing to admit that it is hotels mismanagement and responsibility. He was rude and kept arguing. I holded the discussion for a while, he started arguing in various illogical ways. To avoid delay I paid full amount not deducting 200 after asking him for just a apology.
Conclusion, if you get and have other option better to opt for it and not Hotel Presidency. I have decided that even if they offer a free stay! BIG...
Read moreWe booked this hotel for our visit to Arulmigu Meenakshi Sundaraswarar Temple.
The Good:
Walkable distance to Arulmigu Meenakshi Sundaraswarar Temple
Rooms are of good size and maintained.
Good service by the support & front desk staff. I needed some information on the temple and they provided it in detailed. I had like to call it loud as they also did my car wash (Rs 300).
Vallet parking is available especially if their parking lot is full.
In house restaurant seating is good but it's small. Definitely cannot accomodate the entire rooms but the food is good. You will find most of the cuisine in here and with good quantity.
The Bad/Could be Better:
Rooms were clean and bedding too but not the sofa. It lacks basic hygiene, has lot of stains and dirt in the corner. I doubt if these are cleaned even on weekly basic.
I booked it directly by speaking to the executive and was told that the price included the breakfast. I told him I won't need it as I will be during early check-out and he mentioned its include in the price. Since it was we thought to leave after having the breakfast, it starts around 6:30 AM. When I entered I was asked to pay and I was surprised and he mentioned it was not included. I did not had time as we need to eat and leave early so I had to pay Rs 600 for 2 adults and 2 kids. This was not acceptable as they were not...
I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel President in Madurai, and I must say it was a delightful experience from start to finish. The first thing that struck me was the impeccable cleanliness of the hotel. The rooms were not only spacious but also spotlessly clean, making for a comfortable and inviting atmosphere.
One standout feature of Hotel President is the ample parking space available, which is a rarity in many city hotels. This convenience took a significant load off my mind as I didn't have to worry about finding a parking spot for my vehicle.
The dining experience at the hotel's restaurant was another highlight. The food served was not only delicious but also offered a variety of options to cater to different tastes. The restaurant's ambiance was pleasant, and the service was top-notch.
What truly sets Hotel President apart, however, is its exceptional staff. The receptionist, Karishma, deserves a special mention for her outstanding service. She efficiently handled all the check-in processes, making it a hassle-free experience. Throughout my stay, the entire staff was warm, welcoming, and always ready to assist with a smile.
In conclusion, Hotel President in Madurai is a wonderful place to stay. With its clean and comfortable rooms, ample parking, delectable food, and friendly staff like Karishma, it offers a memorable and enjoyable stay experience. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone...
