R R Lodge near Meenakshi Amman Temple — Hotel in Madurai

Wonder how this has 4.4 star rating, Seems like they have withdrawn the business from Google and reposted the same afresh. Even AC rooms here is having Mosquito 🦟 Menace .. Unclean Bathroom with Stains all over the Wash Basin with Hair Follicles everywhere.. By that time , my Child has already slept and they wanted to change my room by 9 PM. (We reached the hotel only by 8 PM) ₹2000 for just an overnight stay..! For which I had already paid ₹500 in Advance.. Only Money Mentality.. ( After reading most of the Reviews in Madurai, I wanted to book an AC room due to Mosquito Menace in Madurai inside Non AC rooms .. ) While booking, they said nothing.. but only on the day of boarding the room, they said that the room is in another lodge.. Booking was Done in Lodge at Avani Street while the Boarding was Done in their own Lodge (another one) at Chithirai Street and they themselves did the Transit.. all at 8.30 PM where my Child had already Slept .!

The location is considered excellent and convenient for exploring the area, with easy access to meenakshi temple at being 300 meter distance only, public transport, and dining options. Cleanliness Rooms and all common areas are described as impeccably clean, spotless, well-maintained, and hygienic, with fresh linens and towels. Guests want to feel that their space is safe and clean, which builds trust.

Lodge caretaker alagar was very friendly and welcoming.

Had a call with this hotel that I will checkin at 9PM today(12/12/2025) and asked for cost for 1night stay, they said like rs.2000 and when I asked for check out, they said it will be like 9AM tomorrow which is 12hrs only.
