If your very purpose of visiting Madurai is to pay visit to the Temple alone, for heavens sake please don't select this Hotel for your stay, as there are plenty of better & cheaper Hotels, near to the Temple, rather than this Hotel. Auto's charge around Rs. 80 to drop near the Temple from this Hotel. ||||I choose this Hotel, under the misconception that, as I read it in some website that, this Hotel has centralized A/C & this is a business Hotel, I was under the impression that this Hotel may be good. We got a room on the 2nd floor- every time you have to cross the bar on the 1st floor. the hotel has a small parking which is shared by visitors to the bar and the restaurant. We parked on the road and went down every 30 minutes to check for a vacant spot before we got one - the staff never bothered to inform. 10 years back, this was my favorite place to stay, but now sad to say that the hotel is in desperate need for renovation. the rooms and bed linen had a stench that most old properties have. the toilet flush is modeled on the railways and requires considerable force which most elderly, women and children would be incapable of. having said that the stars are only for the location.
