UrbanSPiCE Hotel - Madurai — Hotel in Madurai

We made a booking at Urban Spice based on a friend's recommendation. The booking procedure was smooth and Zafar the owner was most helpful and responsive. ||On reaching the place, we were please to find that all 9 of us girls could we easily accommodated in the 3 rooms per apartment. From the start, Sanjay the Caretaker was always available and was able to get us whatever we required so a big thank you to him!||Location wise also this place is good. It's in a quiet neighbourhood which is well known and well located.||Sadly, the cleanliness was an issue. There were insects and lizards. Hot water was thankfully available but the taps weren't flowing well neither the shower. The water flow was painfully slow. Though Sanjay checked them, we weren't able to do much about the flow.||Also the lack of mirrors was greatly felt. I think there were only 2 mirrors and for 9 girls dressing for a wedding this is quite a drawback. ||If these few drawbacks could be overcome, the place would be quite ideal to stay and I would visit again if I came to Madurai.||Good luck to Zafar and team and thank you for making our stay...

OYO is worst ,this hotel Urban Spice Service Apartment Madurai still pathetic.They have left broken bed lamps open exposing direct lamp electrical contacts ,one can die immediately on switching if comes in contact.so OYO certified useless ,only toilet clean ,ensuring breakfast delivery from outside is not what OYO paid for.Informed OYO for my late check in at 08:00 PM and check out next day at 05:00 PM,confirmed from OYO .still hotel collected 1000 rupees for check out at 16:50 hrs and bill not given by hotel,OYO showing it other charges.OYO collecting these extra fees and making quick bucks.Whole India even in 5 star hotels I checked in go for 24 hrs They(OYO executive) r not my saala to inform and pay extra bucks.So do not use OYO and this pathetic hotels.I will fill a case in consumer court against OYO for certifying such unsafe hotel.OYO gives fancy name Captain for their...

As a concept, the service apartment UrbanSpice caters well for big groups and families who would like to spend time together and are looking for reasonable lodging costs. While the decor is done in good taste with antique fixtures, the day to day functional needs are poorly met.||The bathroom cleanliness is poor, facilities such as the A/C, TV their remotes are either not working or need better maintenance. ||The kitchen can be better equipped with cutlery, basic condiments like salt, sugar, tissue napkins, towels etc. Clealiness too, since lizards were seen prowling on the counters.||For the rents paid, the service provided is very average and management needs to shift its focus to dramatically improving...
