Famous Jigarthanda – Once a Hit, Now... Just a Sip? 🥶🥤

Tried this place twice recently, once two months ago and again now. That first time? Absolutely amazing. The Jigarthanda had me questioning why I ever drank anything else. Cold, creamy, and full of flavor — a 10/10 slurp.

This time, though... mixed feelings. I got a parcel for my sister too, major excitement, sibling bonding moment, you know? But the packaging? Not it. They gave us some bottle-style parcel that didn’t survive the journey. One got wasted completely, and the other one struggled to make it to the finish line.

Tried again just yesterday, the taste was... kinda mild. Not bad, but definitely not that "wow" I remembered. So now I’m confused. Was it an off day? Or did the recipe take a vacation?

Still hoping the magic comes back, because when it’s good, it’s really good. Just maybe… not parceling it...

The Experience: Madurai and Jigarthanda! Meenakshi Amman Koil and then make a visit to Vilakkuthoon Famous Jigarthanda.. I'm pretty sure this should be on the bucket list of any tourist to Madurai! Having this delicious drink for more than 25 years!! Just go get one yourself tonight!! :)
