Appams & Hoppers — Restaurant in Madurai

Personally there is one thing other than food that attracts ppl here i feel......idk if you have felt it or its just me, the manager in this restaurant a mid-old aged lady who greets us and takes orders gives a motherly vibe ( not kidding guys ). And she is super friendly. Now coming to the foooood they specialise in appams with all the different varieties

MUST TRY = chicken cheese appam ( THE BEST ) ❤️🙈 There is one appam with sweet milk adhuvum must try definitely you won't stop with one.

There is this personal touch given to every customer. It's a small place compared to the other restaurants around it. It has this whole dim lit peaceful ambience adding to its homely vibe 🥺💯 We love this place. Must visit place if you come to madurai and want simple but something new to eat.

Appam&Hoppers, Madurai

This restaurant in Madurai is fusion of srilankan and Indian cuisine. It is the brainchild of the lady called "Subha" started a couple of years ago. Getting people on the table was a challenge but over the period of time she overcame this challenge and now serving hundreds of customers in a day. It's a small cafe like restaurant but this lady gives her personal touch by attending everyone personally and her smile will refresh you, so is her food.

Although i couldn't make out much of a difference, how this fusion cuisine is different from regular Appams but one thing is for sure. They serve Appams and string hoppers worth tasting. There must try dish is in the dessert section...

Started 8 years ago. & Till date one of the best ever sri lankan 🇱🇰 food I had ever in South Tamil Nadu. They focus more on quality & not quantity which is good. You’ll never regret for having Egg Appam with chicken curry & sambol. So good authentic.

Must try. Stringhopper Kothu cost around 200 worth it. The way they welcome guest & treat them, Sooo good.! Appreciate it mam. Keep doing.

Space is small, It can accommodate hardly 18 people. But worth waiting & eating. 🍽️ It has road side car parking anyways it’s a residential area so no problem.

Highly recommended for tourists. When you try Madurai’s famous kari dosa, you definitely need to try...
