Very callous hotel staff especially during “ early mornings “... I had a forgettable experience during check out @ FabAscot Intl Hotel , Andheri . I wanted to check out early for a morning flight , hence informed the reception to keep my bill ready and be prepared for check out at 6:30AM . During the process , I learnt that their swipe card machine wasn’t charged (???? Can you imagine this today in a digital world where even vegetable vendors have POS machines / e wallets) ... they wanted me to pay by cash and that too , only exact amount (perhaps) because I am sure they wouldn’t even have change ( a fact that was clear when I had to clear my food bill which they insisted should be by cash only ). By the time the machine was “ charged “ , I was already late for my hired cab which cancelled by ride leading to a loss of money and time . Then to my horror , after having swiped my debit card they asked me for my Pin , I had to tell them that I, the guest has to feed that in ( no funda of secrecy here it seemed !). After some delay , by which time I had already keyed in my pin Num , the reception staffer produces a Nil settlement memo saying that the transaction did not go through . I was already delayed and had little option but to swipe my card once more and repeat the process... in some time , my bank alerts came in to inform that i have been debited twice ... my travel ( which the reception person offered to arrange ) was kept in confusion and the concierge staff made me board a vehicle meant for another guest !!! Needless to say , I had to pay the driver extra because of a changed destination !!!When I called the hotel to inform them of the double debit and refund , his answer made it seem that they do this “ mistake “ on a daily basis !!! To add , the day started with no water in the flush !!! Read moreWe were a group of students staying in the hotel for the duration of our offline exams (21 days) and had a terrible experience. Below are a few points I would like to highlight:
Overall, the rooms are cramped. However, we were provided with a slightly larger room upon request. Our room was full of cockroaches. There was also a rat in our room for two days. On informing this, the staff was in denial of its existence. On requesting the room change, we were given a warning that this will be the last room change request the hotel will be entertaining. Poor quality, taste, and variety of breakfast even after paying extra. Every day we received either Poha or Bread Omelette with tea. Request to provide variety was ignored. AC was not properly functioning but was manageable. During the entire duration of the stay, the bed linen was not changed once even after explicitly requesting the hotel. A cockroach was found inside the bottle of water we had requested to fill. The hotel rules do not mention anywhere that visitors are not allowed on the property. In fact, on its MMT listing, it is mentioned that visitors are allowed. Even so, our friend was denied entry to the room stating opposite-gender visitor is not allowed. We were working on a college group assignment which is why we called our third group member (opposite gender) to the room at 5 PM. We requested the host to allow the entry only for 30 minutes. The staff denied the request with demeaning and judgemental behavior.

Read moreI recently had the misfortune of staying at one of your properties in (Ascot International Mumbai), and the experience was nothing short of a complete disaster. I feel it is imperative to bring to your attention the gross negligence and lack of basic standards that marred my stay.
The property in question exhibited a severe lack of proper management, and the absence of a competent manager only exacerbated the situation. The rooms were shockingly dirty, with the added inconvenience of a non-functional toilet flush and a geyser that failed to provide hot water. These issues alone would be unforgivable, but what followed was utterly appalling.
During my brief stay of just a few hours, I encountered a significant infestation of cockroaches, and the bed bugs were so pervasive that their bites resulted in a severe infection. This is not only a breach of basic hygiene standards but also a serious health hazard that should never be tolerated in any accommodation establishment.
Given the gravity of the situation and the subsequent health risks I have incurred, I have decided to leave the hotel within two hours of checking in. I am left with no option but to insist on an immediate refund of my booking charges. Failure to address this matter promptly will compel me to explore legal avenues to seek appropriate compensation for the physical and mental distress I have endured.
