I recently had the pleasure of dining at Sudarshan Restaurant, known for its delectable South Indian cuisine. The restaurant offers a wide array of dishes that cater to vegetarians. While the food itself was undoubtedly tasty and stomach-filling, I found myself slightly disappointed with the delayed service from the staff. The South Indian food at Sudarshan Restaurant is definitely a treat for the taste buds. The menu boasts a variety of authentic dishes that capture the essence of traditional flavors. From crispy dosas to aromatic sambar and mouth-watering fluffy idlis, each item on the menu is delivered in terms of taste and authenticity. The flavors were well-balanced, and their coconut chutney is to die for. Furthermore, the portion sizes here are generous, making it an ideal spot for those seeking a hearty meal. Whether you opt for the flavorful classic thali, you can be sure that your hunger will be satisfied. The combination of flavors, spices, and textures in their dishes truly amazing. However, one area where the restaurant fell short was its service. Unfortunately, the staff seemed overwhelmed during my visit, resulting in delayed service. It took quite some time for my order to be taken, and the wait for the food to arrive was longer than expected. The lack of attentiveness from the servers was noticeable, as they seemed preoccupied and less attentive to the needs of the customers. This aspect of the dining experience could certainly be improved to provide a more seamless and enjoyable experience.Despite the hiccup in service, this place still manages to deliver an enjoyable culinary experience with its tasty and stomach-filling South Indian dishes. It's clear that the chefs take pride in their cooking, and the flavors truly shine through. However, I would recommend the restaurant to pay closer attention to the service aspect, ensuring that guests receive prompt and attentive service throughout their visit. In conclusion, if you're craving authentic South Indian cuisine and don't mind a bit of a wait, Sudarshan Restaurant is worth a visit. Just be prepared for potentially delayed service, but rest assured that the delicious flavors and satisfying portions will...
Read moreThe food is pretty authentic. Mangalorean selections are a safe choice and have been consistently good. Avoid western selections if possible. Nothing wrong but the taste isn't that great.
Only problem I have here is that each time I've visited them, there is a lot of insistence on tipping. I am a generous tipper when possible but the expectation and hovering around incessantly has really put me off to the point where I deliberately avoid visiting the restaurant and think twice before visiting.
It is not even subtle. The waiters will be passive agressive with you, if you don't tip and I'm a regular who tips regularly when possible and the difference is day and night. It'll clearly reflect on the service. Demanding a tip and hovering over when making the payment is just unprofessional. On a 100₹ bill you cannot expect a tip for one chai and vada. Let's be realistic.
Some waiters are good and consistent regardless of the tip. But now i dont want to feel guilty for not tipping sometimes or be badgered until I do so I will avoid at all costs. Which is a shame because I liked their food.
Urge the restaurant to either pay the waiters enough or train them not to pester the customers and patrons or else expect more loss...
Read moreDuring my recent visit to Mumbai, I had the pleasure of dining at sudarshan pure veg Restaurant, located at Sakinaka Junction on Andheri Kurla Road. Established in 1985, this restaurant has built a reputation for its delectable North and south Indian veg cuisine.
Upon entering, I was welcomed into a comfortable and inviting ambiance. The indoor seating was well-appointed, and I noticed they also offer wheelchair accessibility, making it convenient for all guests.
The menu was extensive, but I decided To accompany my meal, I ordered veg thali.
The staff provided prompt and attentive service, ensuring that my dining experience was enjoyable. Their courteous demeanor added to the overall positive impression of the restaurant.
In terms of pricing, the average cost for two people is approximately or less than ₹500 to 600. Given the quality of food and service, I found this to be reasonable.
Overall, my experience at sudarshan Restaurant was delightful. The combination of delicious food, pleasant ambiance, and excellent service makes it a place I would highly recommend to anyone...
