I was too late in Reading the reviews. But experienced what most have experienced. After an hour searching by taxi I found the complex. Well hidden away and the security guard was disinterested. On the 11th floor I found the reception where 5 man were hanging out wearing the OYO t-shirts. All ||hanging out and playing on their mobiles. As I was worried about they told me I had no reservation. They told me I booked in a less superior room elsewhere and there has been a mistake made. I had proof of emails that this was not the case. ||They told me to wait and I told them I did not intend to wait forever as I just came from an 9 hour flight. They made me out to have to be great full that they allowed me to stay. it was a disappointment as it says OYO premium. Not sure what the premium was about. It needs a good overhaul. A lot of health and safety traps in the bathroom. The staff are also unsure and could not assist me in finding or calling a taxi. I had no breakfast when I asked for it the following morning but|| could not wait to escape this building. The TV was also not working. The plus side was that the room was big and they had little sachets of toiletries. ||I did not like it that right in front of the room the men were hanging out and chatting. I felt there was no privacy at all. This room could be superior with a good overhaul and the reception should be moved down stairs. Also a sign outside the building with OYO would not go amiss. I give it one star for the size of the room. ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||reservation and...
Read moreI was always under the impression that there is good marketing and there is bad marketing. But this one in particular hotel made me realize that there's a third category called False Marketing.
Very poor service. For a whopping discounted price of 2.5k (actual shown price 7.2k), the room provided (101) was not even close to what's being depicted in the pictures. The picture depicts a lavish queen size bed, but got 2 single un-mergable beds. As soon as I entered the room, it smelled of piss. The bathroom mat has some sort of weird stains and hasn't been changed/cleaned since forever. The bed linens were crumpled and most likely unwashed. One of the bedsheets has stains on it. The wifi doesn't work. The reception area is filled with junk. The entire place is so shabby that it resembles a shady brothel rather than a hotel. The number mentioned in the app to call a person regarding any issue, was out of service. I had made the mistake of prepaying the booking because I was in a hurry and it was late. When confronted the manager with said issues, he said I should talk to the 'higher ups' without offering a change of room.
Worst experience. Would rate it negative, if there was an option. Please check the posted photos for your perusal.
Edit: The owner conveniently hid some of the more clear images. So...
Read moreHorrible hotel. The hotel exists INSIDE a housing society, up a hill. It seemed like an abandoned place. Pathetic rooms, with the bathrooms stinking of cigarettes. The floor of the room and the bathroom looked like it had not been cleaned for ages. The linen was also dirty. There is NO elevator in the hotel. Its location provided in the Google Maps is INCORRECT. And on top of all this, they enforce prepaid check-in, because NOBODY would pay them at the time of checkout, having seen the horrible condition of the rooms. My brother left his luggage inside the room, and immediately came to my college, in the middle of the night, where I was staying in the hostel, so that we could find another hotel. The OYO customer care executives were not ready to understand our situation. After an hour of convincing, they agreed to shift our booking to another hotel, IF we sent them pictures that show of the horrible condition of the hotel. We went back to the hotel, picked up the luggage and clicked sufficient photos so that the OYO customer care executives would not be 'dissatisfied'. My brother reached the hotel they said they would shift his booking to, and after another half an hour of talking on the helpline, he finally got a room in...
