First of all let me tell you that I never write a review this huge or negative. But this one forced me to. So the hotel itself is beautiful. The rooms are beautiful. But the service! It's the worst. It started right when we entered the hotel. The receptionist was so unwelcoming and very rude. No good morning, no greetings, not a single spec of smile or anything on her face. We had requested for a early check-in through MMT. But it was denied which was absolutely okay because MMT suggested that we call the hotel about it. But she was so rude in denying that as well. Ideally a receptionist should be very polite. We have been to a bajillion hotels in Mumbai, Pune, Delhi. This was the worst. As soon as we checked-in and entered the room there was this pile of powder or sawdust or I don't know what, right at the entrance and over the shelf where you keep the luggage. We called the reception immediately and instead of apologizing and saying that I'll get it cleaned right away, the woman said "You just checked in and you're saying the room is not clean?!". That really put us off. We expected it to be cleaned immediately but the cleaner came in 20 mins later and then cleaned it. The service was extremely slow. We had to call atleast 2 times every half and hour to get a service. The next day we went off for breakfast and requested at the reception to clean our room while we have our breakfast. The man at the reception said "But it will take 45 mins! You are checking out tomorrow right?" suggesting that we shouldn't get our room cleaned as we are checking out the next day anyway. We have been to many hotels and everytime the hotel people ask us if they can get the room cleaned and not the other way round. It was extremely frustrating. Now this was the service bit. We booked a Deluxe room because the Executive ones had twin beds. The infuriating thing was that the Executive room had a good front view and the Deluxe ones had the back side view. And the back side view was of the slum area, no offence. When we checked in and asked for the front view room, the receptionist said yes she can give us that but we will have to wait for another half an hour. We waited and still got the slum area view room. There were no newspapers provided. The lighting was too little. No napkins provided. The next day that we got our room cleaned, the used spoon, glass, cups, milk powder sachets, tea sachets were not replaced. The area was not even cleaned. The litter of used sachets were lying right there. Extremely poor service. Never will visit this place ever again. HUGE THUMBS DOWN for the amount they charge and the service they deliver...

Mumbai's culinary scene just got a touch more magical with the arrival of Tattva Bar and Cafe. Perched a top the Peninsula Redpine Hotel, this rooftop haven isn't just about the view (although let's be honest, the city skyline sparkling under the stars is pretty darn epic). It's about an immersive experience that tantalizes all five senses.
A Symphony of Cocktails:
My journey began with a liquid masterpiece - the Pollen. This floral delight was a delicate dance of gin, guava juice and vodka, leaving a trail of sweet whispers on the palate. The Tiger Paw packed a punch with its fiery blend of vodka, turmeric, kaffir lime leaf and triple sec, a perfect balance of sweet and heat. These weren't just drinks; they were stories told in sips.
A Culinary Canvas:
The food followed suit, a vibrant tapestry of textures and flavors. Zucchini Fries were crispy perfection, a guilt-free indulgence paired with a Basil aioli. Java Chicken Lollipops were juicy and flavorful, the hint of spice leaving me wanting more. The Prawns Sesame Toast was a textural delight, the creamy avocado contrasting beautifully with the crunchy toast and succulent prawns.
A Main Course Masterpiece:
For the main course, I dived into the Creamy Mushroom Pasta, Penne pasta coated in a rich, earthy sauce, bursting with the essence of perfectly cooked mushrooms. Pure comfort food elevated to gourmet heights. Prawns Curry with Rice was a symphony of coastal flavors, the prawns cooked to juicy perfection in a fragrant coconut gravy. Each bite was a warm hug from the sea.
A Sweet Seduction And then came the finale - the Lust dessert. This wasn't just a name; it was an experience. A decadent chocolate mousse layered with Sour cherry and vanilla bean Icecream. It was a sweet and seductive end to an unforgettable meal.
The Verdict:
Tattva Bar and Cafe is more than just a restaurant; it's an experience. From the stunning ambience to the meticulously crafted cocktails and the food that sings to your soul, it's a place that lingers in your memory long after you leave. So, if you're looking for an evening that elevates your senses and leaves you wanting more, head to Tattva. You won't be disappointed.
P.S: Don't forget to make a reservation, this rooftop gem is already generating a lot of buzz!

Read moreWhat is The Stables? 🔅Till date i saw places called the 'English Bar' only on the internet and watched it in movies.I have been searching for such places from a very long time and came across this themed restaurant which is an amalgamation of a 'Sports Bar and a choice English Bar'.
♦️What does the ambience signify?. 🔅Imagination of man has no boundaries and this place is the perfect essense of a great idea and concept. They have designed the place to appear like a horse' stable and so the name. 🔅There is something comfortingly familiar about the music and decor which is quite appealing and takes you back to those old times when you had those wooden seating arrangements and high tables just like a Vintage restaurant or an Englis bar so called has.
♦️How is the food and drinks at the Stables? 🔅The food and drinks both were average as far as my visit is concerned.Though you will find some of the most ambrosial items in the menu like the 'Baked chicken Bakhlava' and 'The Stables chicken burger' the overall taste and quality of food was good and not something which amused me.
♦️What we ordered at the Stables? 🔅We ordered a mix of appetizers and drinks some of which were suggested to us by the staff itself. 📍Appetizers:- 〰️Baked chicken bakhlava. 〰️Bbq chicken wings. 〰️Saffron chicken tikka. 〰️Juicy lucy burger. 📍Drinks:- 〰️Glass eye. 〰️Oscar sangria. 〰️Smoth Mouth. Peach punch. 📍Desserts:- 〰️Chocolate caramel tart.
♦️How was the overall experiance and things to enjoy at the Stables? 🔅There is a open-mic every other thursday and live music every saturday and sunday. They have a beer garden where you can chill with your friends. They also have buffet for lunch and dinner at a fair amount of price.
♦️My ratings:- 🔅Food-4/5. 🔅Ambience-5/5. 🔅Staff and...
