A Frustrating Experience
Our stay at Hotel White Boutique in Pondicherry was quite disappointing, marred by several key issues that made it hard to enjoy our time there.
No Parking, Despite Promises: One of the major issues we faced was with parking. Both the listing on MakeMyTrip and the hotel management claimed that there was parking available at the hotel. However, upon arrival, we were asked to park our car in an open plot located about 500 meters away from the hotel. This was extremely inconvenient, especially considering that parking was one of the deciding factors for us when booking.
Lack of Toiletries: Another frustrating issue was the lack of basic toiletries in our room. While we noticed other rooms had them, our requests for these essential items went unanswered, even after repeated inquiries. This lack of attention to detail made the stay uncomfortable.
Unprofessional Behavior: The hotel's manager was a big part of why our stay left such a negative impression. His attitude was both arrogant and unwelcoming, making us feel like we were an inconvenience rather than guests. Hospitality was clearly lacking, and this soured the entire experience.
Overall, Hotel White Boutique failed to meet expectations in several important areas, from basic amenities to customer service. With misleading promises about parking and an unresponsive management team, I would not recommend this hotel unless significant...
Read moreMy recent stay at the White Boutique Hotel was below average, leaving much to be desired. From the moment we arrived, it was evident that the staff lacked the necessary care and attention to ensure a pleasant experience. Despite arriving early and politely requesting an early check-in, we were dismissively shooed off, leaving us feeling unwelcome and disregarded.
One of the major disappointments was the hotel's claim of being "vegetarian-friendly." Unfortunately, this couldn't have been further from the truth. We were misled by this assertion, as the dining options provided were severely limited for vegetarians, making it challenging to find suitable meals throughout our stay.
Furthermore, the lack of cleanliness was concerning. We had to repeatedly request room cleaning, as it seemed the staff were not proactive in maintaining the hygiene standards expected of a boutique hotel. This lack of attention to detail only added to our growing frustration and disappointment.
Overall, the White Boutique Hotel fell short of expectations in several key areas. From the indifferent staff to the misleading claims of vegetarian-friendliness and the subpar cleanliness standards, it's evident that this establishment is not suitable for vegetarians or those seeking a high-quality...
Read moreThis is where we stayed for the initial 2 days of arriving in Pondicherry. The rooms were quite good for the price but sadly lacked the vibes needed from a good hotel. The environment seemed quite depressing. Almost everyone seemed preoccupied and only answered our queries when asked, including the hotel staff, without a smile.
We almost felt like we were a burden on them rather than the guests.
We actually left the hotel after the initial 2 days to find a better stay option, for similar prices.
Technically, there is good Wifi, decent restaurant and room service as well. The rooms were clean too. Hence the 4 star rating. Else social environment wasn't something to take home about...
I only have a pic with me being in it that gives a view of the room, so attaching that only.
I will give this hotel a solid 7.5 / 10 for all the facilities available. Can recommend for families as it's on a busy street. But most youngsters won't find this...
