This was, without a doubt, one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had. I am shocked by how poorly this establishment is managed. First, there was no intercom in one of the rooms we booked, making communication with the staff a nightmare. To make things worse, there were frequent power outages, and the hotel didnât have a reliable power backup system. It felt like we were staying in a poorly run hostel rather than a hotel. Basic hygiene and amenities were nonexistent. The bathrooms had no towels, the soap container was empty, and nothing was provided unless explicitly asked forâmultiple times. The trays and crockery were absolutely filthy, the electric kettle looked like it hadnât been cleaned in ages, and even complimentary water bottles werenât replenished unless we chased down the staff. And charging for a dental kit? Thatâs just ridiculous for a hotel claiming to offer quality service. The dining service was equally abysmal. The food was served on dirty trays that looked like the ones from the stone age, and the staff didnât bother getting the bills signed during room service. This led to incorrect billing during checkout, adding further frustration to an already miserable stay. The reception staff were beyond rude and unprofessional. They lacked even the most basic manners and hospitality skills. They didnât answer calls from the rooms, leaving us stranded whenever we needed help. The only redeeming factor was the hotelâs close proximity to the Golden Temple, but even that is not worth enduring such horrible service and poor standards.    Read moreMy experience at this hotel was far from satisfactory. The location of the hotel, with its narrow and challenging roads, made it extremely stressful for our driver to navigate. Loading and unloading from the vehicle were also a hassle, as the tight spots meant other vehicles couldn't pass by easily.
The issues continued inside the hotel. The first room we were given had a non-functioning water heater, and the second room had slow water flow. Despite leaving the water heater ON for several hours, the amount of hot water available is inadequate for three people. Proper lighting in the room was lacking, and there was barely any space to keep a chair. The overall maintenance of the rooms left much to be desired.
The most disappointing aspect was the dining hall and kitchen. It was dimly lit, and the kitchen staff, who appeared to be a family, worked in less than ideal conditions. To make matters worse, we found a woman's hair in our paratha. The next day, when we requested breakfast to be available by 8 am, they agreed to 8.30 am, but nothing was ready even at that time. We had to wait an additional 10 minutes for paratha, curd, and pickle, and when we asked for bread, we were told to wait longer. They displayed a disappointing level of carelessness and unprofessionalism throughout our stay.

I booked A-Star through MakeMyTrip because the portal promised clean rooms and professional service, but the reality was a nightmare from the moment we arrived.
Even after the hotel called at 1 p.m. to reconfirm our arrival, we reached on time only to find no room ready. The floors were still soaking wet from a hasty mop-up, and a visible layer of dust coated the furniture and windowsills.The âcleanâ room smelled must and basic toiletries were missing. It was nowhere close to the standards advertised online.When we politely asked for the room to be cleaned properly, the receptionist was rude to us . Things escalated when we asked to speak with the ownerâshe produced a fake âownerâ who refused to give a name or ID.The real owners were in the back office, watching everything unfold yet refusing to step in. They pretended the problems didnât exist, literally turning their backs while we spoke.After we threatened to call the police over the deceit and poor conditions, the fake owner became openly aggressive.
