We stayed at the hotel for three days in March 2023. The location is good. But the overall services provided by the front office staff, (particularly the day time staff), are quite hopeless considering the tariff of the hotel. The family room given to us at the 4th floor was like a closed chamber without any window. And Family Room is the costliest room of the hotel. On our complaint, our room was changed but only the next day where we stayed for the remaining two days. Further on almost all occasions, the daily cleaning and replenishment of water/tea/towels etc was got done with lots of requests and efforts.
The worst part of our stay was the breakfast provided to us on all three days. The BF being served at the hotel is the worst of its kind, never seen anywhere else in India in any of the hotels booked online through MMT or other similar providers. The explanation of hotel staff for this was that the hotel has got only skeleton kitchen services as most of the guests do not take the room with breakfast included. But what is fault of the guests like us who have paid for the BF service in advance that too at a good enough amount. The hotel should immediately discontinue to advertise breakfast services at he hotel and refund the amount to us which was charged while booking online through MMT.
The front staff lady was more concerned with the rating to be given by us and was sending different hotel workers to our room on the check off date only to request us not to give a bad rating...
Read moreCustomer service is really not a primary or even secondary focus for this hotel crown. Our local auto driver took us to this hotel stating it's in market area which will be open by 11-12 at night so you can easily find food and everything nearby (which was a lie). The guy at reception promised us room within 10 minutes however we had to wait 1.5 hours and when we asked the staff, they told us we are from night shift, we won't clean the room as it is not in our working hours, you have to wait another 1.5 hours for the day shift cleaning staff. I understand that however someone needs to do it as promised because why else you promised a room available if you don't have staff to make it possible. We went again to reception and there was another guy who was reasoning the same. We were so exhausted from our journey and we had to wait this long just for the cleaning, we were sitting on 1st floor's common area and people were giving looks while walking. We even thought to leave the hotel and look for another accommodation. I won't suggest anyone to go to this hotel. There were no tissues in toilets and no TV which are a basic need when you book a hotel...
Read moreI recently stayed at Hotel Crown, and unfortunately, my experience was not up to par. While the rooms were ok and the location was convenient, I was very disappointed with the complimentary breakfast and the hotel's customer service.
The breakfast provided was not up to my expectations and was not served as requested and no heed paid to our request , the hotel staff tried to blame us for making the request too late , though which was not the case. This was unacceptable to me as a paying customer, and I felt that the hotel was not taking responsibility for their shortcomings.
Furthermore, when I brought up my concerns of bf with the hotel staff, they were too casual of a customer grievance and said at time of checkout " abhi tyaar hai le jayiye" . As a guest, I expect to be treated with respect and to have my concerns taken seriously, but this was not the case at Hotel Crown.
Overall, while the rooms and location of the hotel were satisfactory, the poor breakfast experience and unhelpful customer service left a bad taste...
