R K Food Plaza — Restaurant in Punjab

One of the most trending restaurant on zomato. I've ordered meals from this place quite alot of times and always loved their dal makhani. Happened to be here today to try what else they serve. My visit was a mere disappointment.

Though they have enough space to accommodate a good number of people, but the hall is not at all clean. Tables are sticky. Plates are oily. Seems like they don't use soap for washing utensils. ACs don't work properly. It was quite suffocating for us to sit for 1 hour inside.

Ordered one RK special thaali, one parantha thaali, one plate gulab jamun, one medium margherita pizza, chocolate shake, dry manchurian and cheese fingers. We were four people and this much or a meal was enough to make us all full. The thalis are great. Naan is soft. However, I didn't like the lachedar parantha. Also, the quantity of daal, paneer and chane is really less. We thought of sharing thali to avoid wastage but couldn't. Papad served wasn't at all crispy. Rice were too good.

Talking about the shakes and starters. Pizza was good. Thin crust and lots of cheese. Manchurian is cheap, tasty and has enough for two people. Cheese fingers were crispy. Paneer was fresh. Quantity was fine. Chocolate shake had nothing more than some Hershey's.

Don't know why people are rating it a 5. If you're someone who loves trying new places, you must give it a try. Otherwise there are many better...

I tried the chap and the veg chowmein, and both were flavorful, well-prepared, and satisfying. Rajma chawal, however, felt just average and could be improved. The ice creams were okay, nothing extraordinary, but enough to finish the meal on a sweet note. The service here is functional but reminded me of places near colleges or schools, where efficiency is present but not very polished. Staff seemed casual in their approach, which might not suit those looking for refined service, but it works fine in such a budget-friendly setting. 1st of all My visit to Amritsar was amazing and when it's Lohri and you are in punjab you can say you are blessed Just loved this place. It's a must visit if you are food lover... The people here are amazing so helpful the heart of the people is truly amazing. Weather these days are freezing . Now let's come to RK food plaza as discussed with the locals the food here is very tasty 😋 and my experience also says the same. I had ordered pizza and Singapore noddles and that taste wonderful.... The menu provide all the items like south to North Indian from Chinese to sweets .... The restaurant is situated at the heart of the city near to golden temple. Nearby you can go for shopping and find all items like punjabi jutti ,punjabi suits, shawls, restaurant,..... The roads are perfectly fine however there is some parking issues so if you can travel with public transport that wo be better option. .. so all in all if you are traveling to Amritsar and you are vegetarian and near to golden temple to can have food at this restaurant.. the restaurant is also available on Zomato or swiggi...... They also serve drinks.... soft drinks, nimbuu...
