We booked this hotel for a two-day stay at a cost of 7k₹. Our group consisted of 4 people, and upon our arrival, we were assigned 1 single bed and 1 double bed. After requesting additional accommodation, they provided us with a foldable bed, as the double bed couldn't comfortably accommodate 3 adults. I was particularly impressed with the hotel's ambiance and the exceptional politeness of the staff, especially those at the front desk. The rooms were spacious and clean, a rarity in my experience, having traveled across various states. Our room even had a balcony. The amenities provided included a TV, Wi-Fi (which we didn't use), hot water, and toiletries. It was a relief to have an air-conditioned waiting area, as Puri can be quite hot, we visited in late September.
Check-out time was at 8 am, which seemed early, but the check-in time was also 8 am, so we effectively had the room for 12 hours. Since our flight was in the evening, we were able to leave our luggage at the hotel and explore the area comfortably.
The hotel had an in-house kitchen, only offering Chinese cuisine, which we tried and found quite good.
One of the standout features of this hotel is its prime location. It is conveniently close to all Puri station, Puri beach, and the Puri temple. Moreover, you can find restaurants within walking distance.
The front desk staff assisted us in booking a one-day tour, which was reasonably priced for 4 people at 2800₹. We were provided with an air-conditioned car that was clean, and the driver was exceptionally helpful and polite.
One piece of advice I would offer is to plan your day early, as most attractions close by 5 PM. Unfortunately, we had to cancel a few places from our itinerary due to this...
Read moreStayed during Nov 2024. Stayed in the family room. Room is large enough.Washrooms are clean. Rooms appeared to be recently renovated. The hotel is very good and reasonably priced. It is generally full, hence consider book in advance over phone/ website. Being right on the road, there are no sea view rooms and hence the competitive pricing.
Rooms are of different types. Some rooms are recently renovated and are excellent.Other rooms are old school. Pictures uploaded on their website are real and recent. You can decide accordingly. No complimentary breakfast.
Choose if you are a frequent traveller and no sea view is not a limitation.

Food: Chung Wah restaurant is excellent for Chinese food. If you want to have traditional oriya non veg food then Hotel Wild Grass is 2 min walk. Breakfast is not complimentary. I found the breakfast to be expensive ( considering puri is a budget holiday destination).
Cheaper / budget food options like biryani are available at College road which is 10 min walk.
Mohapatra hotel( a small hut type Street side hotel) serving pure veg food is also...
Read moreThe experience is fresh, as we had been there recently.
First of all, the restaurant is great. The food, ambience, and staff (in the restaurant) are great and I would definitely recommend the restaurant. It only serves Chinese food but of the best quality I've ever had. The best would be the manchow soup, the chicken noodle soup, the lemon chicken and the gold coin prawn.
The location is great too, in a way. A con would be that the beach is far, so, when you get off the beach and make your way back, you have to take an autorickshaw with wet clothes. One pro would be that you don't have to experience the crowd everytime you go out or simply go to the verandah.
The rooms are spacious, cozy and comfortable.
The service is poor. On the first day we ate a chicken sandwich and it was amazing. But on the next few days it was getting worse. On the last day, they even forgot to put salt on the chicken. We drink coffee everyday, so, we ordered 4 cups but they took years to arrive. They took an hour to make four cups of coffee. Also, as we are in the subject of coffee, each cups of coffee costs ₹35 and a pot of coffee costs ₹175 so one would assume there was five cups of coffee in a pot, which it was first the first few days, but on the last day the pot of coffee barely holded 3 cups of coffee.
The room service staff are good and well mannered. They took care of the guests in a...
