We spent 5 nights at Bundi Vila’s using it as a base for visiting Bundi and Kota. The rooms were very well appointed in the traditional haveli style. Comfortable and very good showers. The service was impeccable. Vishnu, who runs the haveli, and seems to do everything else, was always very attentive, very good natured and very helpful with advice. He is a charming individual which adds to the appeal of the Haveli. The food was outstanding. A fixed four course meal was offered every night (Pure Veg) and over 5 nights not one course was duplicated. Mohammed is an outstanding chef. Breakfasts were also excellent. The haveli is located beneath the Fort walls which provides a spectacular backdrop to dinner when the fort is illuminated. Location is perfect for visiting the Bundi (a short and interesting walk through the town’s streets to the markets Step Well) and the Fort which contains the most astonishing frescoes. One word of caution, there are a number of stairs to reach the haveli so anyone with mobility problems might be challenged.
Overall a wonderful stay and I would be very...

This was due to the wonderful attention of Vishnu who runs the Haveli with constant good humour and grace and to Mohamed who provided delicious breakfasts and dinners (never once repeating a dish across 5 days). The food was as good as any I have had in top class restaurants. The Haveli itself is very traditional with comfortable bedrooms and well appointed bathrooms. The location of the Haveli is perfect to walk into the town to the market and shops and of particular note is its position under the castle walls. This is particularly spectacular at dinner when the walls are illuminated. All in all a...
Read moreBundi Vilas Rooftop restaurant: We had dinner here on Christmas Eve. It was winter time with chilly evenings but the view of the fort made it worthwhile. It was a set menu, which was fine for us (it means less waste in the kitchen) Muhammed did a very good job in offering a balanced menu, we loved every dish of it. It tasted fresh, refined, Indian but not too spicy :) Probably the best view in town of the fort from the rooftop terras. You would expect with its prime location, that the view is the best thing here and the food is secondary.. well that's not true, the food is really good. Don't hesitate, this is your dinner...
