Read moreWe saw reviews about Romeo’s coffee online and decided to check it out. He was opening up as we walked to the fort and kindly lent us his stick to scare off the monkeys. We stopped for breakfast on the way back down, great coffee and juice and the muesli was full of fruit! Romeo is also great to have a conversation with, so much experience with tourists and lots of interesting stories to tell. We went back the following day for lunch (great omelet!!) and also decided to have thali there for dinner. The lady upstairs cooked the food and Romeo served it, so so good!!

I stumbled into the café as soon as I arrived in Bundi and was then a "permanent guest" at R. for the rest of my far too short stay. The food is truly fantastic, all freshly prepared by himself with awareness and attention to detail. Of course, his drinks are similar, the mango lassi, for example, is excellent. But the most important thing is his hospitality, his thoughtfulness and his wonderful way of communicating with the guests.
