Brothers Guest House — Hotel in Sikkim

One of the previous review mentioned that “Dont go by the entrance - Amazing location, clean rooms, good hospitality” . I second that. ||Good Things First.||Room provided to me was very big and interior was very tastefully done.||Many power points were available (at least 5-7 ) in room , very helpful to get mobile phone camera battery charged at sametime.||Hotel is right on MG Marg.||Local Taxi stand is located just outside the Hotel , you can take ride to different parts of the city on sharing with other passengers for Rs10-15.||Toilet was neat and clean and quite big. 24 hours hot water was available. Water pressure was strong.||Towels provided were clean and fluffy. Linens and bed sheets were of very good quality.||Support staffs were very cooperative and helpful.||Drinking hot water were provided on request. Everday, 1 bottle of packaged drinking water was provided.||Room had a big wardrobes , had extra blankets and pillows.||||Cons -||No Wi Fi in room and in reception area. I had the impression that Wi Fi was available at Reception Area , When I asked for wi fi password , I was told its not working ,though I could see the router power on and network was available.||From long distance taxi stand below MG Marg , one need to take 97 steps up to MG Marg then another 47 steep steps up to reach the hotel entrance. I do not recommend this hotels for Old and Physical challenge persons. Other two options available to reach the hotel avoiding the stairs is to walk up a steep road up from MG Marg (road is very steep again not suitable for old persons ) or take a taxi up to hotel entrance.||The room I was provided was next to the public stair from MG Marg ,its very noisy in night time. One of the night there was construction work going on the next building , I hardly could sleep.||During my stay one morning I need to leave very early for Changu lake tour , found main entrance locked . There was no instruction or number mentioned to call someone to get the main door open. I some how was lucky to got hold of one staff to get the door open and leave on time.||Housekeeping was not up to the mark as they didn't changed the bed-sheet after previuos occupant left. There were hairs on bed sheet. Once told it was changed promptly.||No Kitchen , so you need to go out to eat for breakfast / Lunch and Dinner.||Overall I would mentioned its was a excellent place to stay considering the location,...

Booked a non-view Delux Room through goIbibo. While booking the promised room carpet area was 224 sqf. But received a much smaller room with hardly 150 sqf area (Room no 102). Though the bed structure was upto mark, the actual matress on the bed was quite small, certainly not 'queen size'. The matress had some issues with mites as they stimulated allergic reactions for one of us. However the hotel Service was upto mark, had no issues with either drinking water or otherwise. Food is not available here. However tea and bread is available for early brekfast. The location is right next to M.G.Marg though. With an adjoining taxi stand. For booking local sightseeing and other transportation, contact the local drivers before asking the hotel staff. Else you might end up...

Well maintained and affordable Lodge at the busy heart of the city... The main entrance is located at the taxi stand side, but one can enter using the stairs beside The Roll House on MG Marg... The rooms are spacious, clean, well maintained and well decorated... They provided Electric Kettle, water bottles, Sanitizer in the room... The attached bathroom was clean, provided with geyser, hand wash, soap, shampoo etc... The manager, room service boy were very helpful and polite...
