Hotel Tashi Tagey — Hotel in Sikkim

My friend, his wife, my wife and myself, four sr. citizens stayed in Hotel Tashi Tagey for four days from 10th to 14th November for our Sikkim tour. We came back with lot of good memories laced with excellent hospitality by the hosts, Mr Dorji and Ms Nyima. |The hotel is very conveniently located on the main road about 3km from M G Road. The rooms are spacious and nicely decorated. The whole ambience of reception area, dining space, staircase, the rooms,... gives sense of peace and tranquility. The garden on the roof top, primarily of cactus is worth visiting.One can have panoramic view of Gangtok from the roof specially in the night. The foods prepared by Ms Nyima herself were very tasty and reasonably priced. The soothing music was in reception area was relaxing. Mr Dorji helped us in arranging a very good driver for our tour. He looked after all our needs to make our stay very comfortable.|To sum up we can say Tashi Tagey was a home away from home. we stayd 2 nights at Tashi Tagey, Rude behaviour of the owner, and he will pick your pocket ,we asked him a help to arrange a north sikkim tour ,and he phoned a person then say 14000 for the private journey ,one night tour.(shared tour is 10 ppl in a sumo van with Rs2500) and we dont get more time to enquire becoz only 2 days left in our vacation at Gangtok,the next day we know that its only 9000 for the one night tour .he picked 5000 from our pocket, you can get a good Innova @12000.and we saw three ppl came there after a long journey,and show him their booking details,the time was almost 10 O' clock, and he say checking time is at 12 pm, and we know all the rooms are empty there.they beg him for a room to become fresh but he Rudely denied their request.very unfriendly,he charged 400 rupees for the breakfast ,the break fast is aloo parata or bread omlet, and fixed in three pieces only with a glass of coffee and a glass of water.he never serve extra drinking water on the table.BUT his Wife is very friendly behaviour. NEVER...

The man who owns this place is a terrible human. The wife was told that a female friend would join later at night as she was travelling. She agreed to it happily. Next morning her husband made our friend leave because she was a female. The man is very adamant and reaks toxic masculinity. He completely dishonoured what the wife agreed to and took charge saying shes not the owner shes “just his wife” and her words dont have meaning. We were humiliated and our friend was forced to leave. He also forced us to pay the total money for the entire stay if we all checked out that moment. ||||Then he charged extra money when we checked out after 3 days because our friend had stayed one night. Completely frustrating experience. His wife is very sweet though. She was kept completely oblivious of the entire thing. Just miserable. Never...
