Do Drul Chorten — Attraction in Syari-Tathangchen

I had the wonderful opportunity to visit Do Drul Chorten in March, located in the heart of Gangtok, Sikkim. This sacred stupa is one of the most significant landmarks of Buddhist culture in the region and offers a deeply spiritual and serene experience.

As I approached the stupa, I was immediately struck by the peaceful and positive atmosphere that surrounds the area. The chorten (stupa) is beautifully maintained, and its golden dome shines gracefully against the backdrop of Sikkim’s natural beauty. The place is surrounded by 108 prayer wheels, which visitors can spin while walking around the structure—a meditative and calming activity that added to the overall spiritual vibe.

The surroundings are very clean, quiet, and well-organized, creating a sense of peace and tranquility. You can really feel the spiritual energy of the place, making it ideal not only for followers of Buddhism but for anyone seeking a moment of calm and reflection.

Believe me all unknown visiter to this monestry , it's just not only holi place to visit but also to feel the real inner peace and just maintain silence at surrounding ! If you are suffering and having problem in day to today life , like if u feel negative energy makes u feel sick or wanted to overcome any sort of problem, all you can do is just ask any monk whoever u meet at this monestry and inform that you wanted to meet Any head guru so that you can feel save from all problem , you should buy KHADA and if you want to offer money , it will be very fruitful deed ok ! You can buy "BUTEE" in nepali it's like locket for protection from evil one , to save from car accident or any sort of bad luck you will get many things in monestry , itself have shop where we buy protection stuff .. The surroundings of this Chorten is simply soul stirring. Minute you leave crowded area of Deorali, and enter the gate , you will be passing through long rows of trees,and lush green peaceful mountains,the scenery is breathtaking. The chorten is surrounded by a monastery with cabins for monks who come to study.

There are chanting rooms, where monks will be chanting prayers, the sound of chanting spiritually lifts spirit. During auspicious occasions, you may volunteer to offer some fund in their office and request prayers for your loved ones,sometimes they comply and you will hear monks chanting prayers for you and your loved ones, such moment is heart rendering.
