Nostalgia Hotel & Spa, Near Mg Marg , Gangtok — Hotel in Sikkim

We visited Gangtok and North Sikkim in May 2018 and the tour was planned and provided by the Galaxy Tours & Treks. It was indeed the most memorable tour for us in recent past. We did not realise at the beginning, but were pleasantly surprised that Mr Tenzing had made detailed arrangements so that we had practically no difficulty whatsoever during our seven-day tour in the mountains. We spent a day at Gangtok on arrival and Galaxy put us at the brand new hotel Nostalgia, which was really a great experience. We met Mr Sonam Norgay there, the boss of Galaxy and Nostalgia. His staff members at the hotel made our stay very enjoyable. We were overwhelmed by the artistic interiors and design of Nostalgia made by Mr Norgay and his team. The friendly and accommodating nature of the staff members made us feel at home there. We visited around first week of March,it was a family trip ,we got one room with spectacular view of the city and one was a normal view,though both were spacious,there was hot water 24*7,washrooms,rooms and laundry were clean and even the corridors are well planned.Deepakji and Praveenji were great hosts and made the stay a delightful one,though the location is around 1km from Mg marg but the hosts guided us well and there are taxis passing by frequently from the approach road to the hotel,so commuting was not an issue.We stayed for two days,both the days breakfast was delicious,on one day we got Puri sabji and on the other day we got aloo paratha,apart from that even the cheese pakoda is a good option.Locationwise there are groceries,liquor and medical store at comfortable walking distance.Only negative point is that their wifi was not working,rest the property is a great place to book and the hosts are kind and polite and help you...

Staying in this hotel was the worst experience and decision in my life, rooms were dirty we found left over dominos box in room almirah when we check in. The view was very bad , Intercom and television was not working.As we were four people in the trip we asked for an extra pillow and didn't recieved it. Even after adding dinner in our package it was not served at time and the service procedure was very worst . The behaviour of hotel manager was very irresponsible and bad. At the time of check out no one was available to lift my luggage. And the language used by "Mr.Rintu" was very unbehaviourable I have already told my trip planner to not arrange this hotel for any person in future.And I didn't even want give one star...
