Checked into the hotel on 14th Feb for 3 night stay...booked through MMT...but the amenities mentioned by the hotel in the site hasn't matched with the actual room...the wardrobe was broken,dirty bedsheet,dirty pillow cover...overall the room wasn't what we was expecting...clean,when spoken to the manager on the same, he said to adjust for 1 night then they will change the room...next day we went for sightseeing and handed over the key to Akash(Manager) at 7.30 a.m.on the agreement that by the time we will return he will change our room...when we came back,we saw the room they changed into was even of worst condition,they didn't even cleaned the room before handing over the key to us,plastic wrappings,snacks leftovers were lying all over the room,the intercom wasn't working,again I went to talk to the manager at 4 p.m.,he asked us to adjust and showed me a mobile number and asked me to call on it if I require anything...when asked about clean pillow covers,he told me to wait till 7.30 p.m. to get it replaced...and started chatting with his colleague in local language that," Arey bohut nautanki hain in logo ki,kal se pareshaan ho chuka hoon,jane se chutkara milega"...asking for basic room service seems to be drama for him...then I've lodged a complaint on MMT,the manager said to my wife if you have problem then go talk to MMT and ask them for a refund...we won't be able to provide you any service on that,if we want to check out we can check out immediately, then someone named Ravi Thapa intervened and asked us to see another room,if we liked it we can stay...seeing the room and the weather outside we decided to stay as we didn'thave any other options,we changed room once again...So, to summarize in just 1 night we've changed room thrice due to dirty room or broken wardrobe or commode...treated rudely by hotel manager...it seems guest checked in through MMT and directly has been treated differently (although paid the same amount)...Please note that I've booked Palri Bliss room(falls under top category) for my honeymoon...Hasn't faced such difficulties with any...

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Palri Boutique Hotel in Gangtok for a week, and I can confidently say it was one of the most memorable experiences I've ever had. The hotel offers a perfect blend of luxury and homeliness, making it a standout choice for anyone visiting Sikkim.
From the moment I arrived, I was warmly welcomed by the reception desk staff, especially David, and the attendant, Roman. Their friendliness and attentiveness made me feel right at home. David went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable, providing invaluable guidance on what to do and where to visit in the city. He even took the time to give me wake-up calls, calls for breakfast and dinner, and check on my well-being when I was feeling under the weather—his care and concern truly made a difference.
The in-house restaurant is a gem, offering mouth-watering dishes, particularly the local specialties. The restaurant staff were equally friendly and attentive, making every meal a delightful experience.
As a research scholar, I was in Gangtok for fieldwork, and I was incredibly fortunate to meet Mrs. Tashi, the hotel owner. Despite her busy schedule, she took the time to sit with me and share her deep knowledge about the local communities and culture of Sikkim. Our discussions felt more like conversations with an elder sister than an interview, which made the experience even more enriching.
Palri Boutique Hotel is not just a place to stay—it's a place where you feel cared for, where the staff goes above and beyond to ensure you have a comfortable and fulfilling stay. I cannot recommend this hotel enough. If you're planning a trip to Gangtok, staying here will undoubtedly enhance your experience of this beautiful city.

Read moreWe had a bad experience at the hotel. There is no proper coordination between the staffs. If you are going in group of 7 and more. Please dont prefer this place.You need to leave that place before 8PM as the vehicle like Tata sumo generally prepared for larger group are not allowed inside city. And whichever place u visit , u need to start by 7:30 PM. But the hotel staff will only provide breakfast after 8PM.And upon request they only provide sandwich . They don’t consider request to provide breakfast 1/2 or 1 hrs before which other property do. If you are going in group don't go for it . Dont go with pics , the property is not that premium. Food is not that good. In the same amount you could get other better property. My personal recommendation would don’t book this property.They are very careless.
And major drawback if they only take order upto 8:30 PM and after 10 PM no one would be there especially no one will provide water.you need to inform 1 hr prior if u need water. This is what they say it Hotel Regulations . If someone checkin after 8 :30 pm and has not opt for dinner. They cant have food. And there is no nearby restaurant. And they play women card if you point out sth . As all the restaurant staffs are women. Service doesn’t depend on women/ men. If u handle sth wrong u are answerable.
