Extremely unprofessional staff. While checkout, I was paying cash for room service bill , Ms Naaz at reception said they can't accept cash and said I should pay by card. Then I said I will pay by gpay, she gave me QR code and when I was about to pay, she said she can't give me bill if I pay by gpay. Then I asked how do I pay to get a bill she started making faces and showing me digust and said I had already asked you to pay by card. I was already upset with the check in process and dining service, I told her to call her manager as I wanted to bring to his notice that nothing was going right at this hotel. She refused and said, he is in a meeting. I said atleast call and ask, but she insisted he will take long time and didn't call the manager. On previous evening when I reached, the staff said they do not do checking, customer has to self check in. They told me I had to check in online on a whatsapp msg they sent. I told them, the link wasn't opening. They said, many customer say that, so please save the number, then it will open. I told them they should have put a one liner message saying that to save customer inconvenience . It took me more than 15 min to upload all documents on the Google form as internet connection was so slow. Finally it was done and I asked them that since dinner was included in my booking, whether I had to go for buffet or there was some fixed menu ? They said we have sent u menu card, order anything. I again asked if there is some fixed amount I have to stick to ? They said order anything. When I placed order for one soup and one continental main course, costing Rs500 approx, they took order but called in some time saying they can't serve me that and started suggesting I order roti, sabzi, rice. I said I did not want to eat Roti or rice. Then they said they will call back. They whatsapp a fixed menu and asked me to order from that. Finally had no option but to select rice and gravy. Housekeeping did not answer a single call, I had to route calls through reception if I wanted something and they would need one more reminder for everything. Mount Milestone Hotel & Banquets, Siliguri

A waste of time and money. Among the worst hotel stays I have had …. Ever.

Location. The hotel is next to the check post, so central to the city.

View. Most rooms will have a view towards nearby buildings with loads of algae and muck.

Layout. The hotel is on the 4th floor of a commercial building (only 3 shops open rest are still closed). The entry is from the side of the building and a lift takes you directly to 4th floor.

Room. The rooms are ok in size but the washroom is very small. They only give you a single pillow per person. Housekeeping refused more than one hand towel for a family room. Only 2 x 500 ml water bottles are complimentary, rest need to be purchased. Basic toiletries made available.

Food. The buffet is poor and totally lacking in variety or quality. For the cost, one would have expected more.

Staff. The staff was about acceptable. However, refusal of the housekeeping staff to send down towels or the one-hour delay in sending drinking water are all noteworthy.

Connectivity. All major telecom carriers have adequate signal strength for a clear conversation and data connectivity. Besides Wi-Fi is free and decent speed

Value for Money. The hotel is expensive by Siliguri standards and is just not value for money, whatever be the cost...
