I recently had the pleasure of dining at Hakka Fusion, a charming Chinese restaurant tucked away in the heart of Siliguri. If you're in the mood for bold, authentic flavors, this spot should be on your radar.
First and foremost, their Chili Chicken is a must-try. The dish was a perfect balance of heat and flavor, with crispy chicken pieces coated in a savory, spicy sauce that had just the right amount of kick. The dish was beautifully seasoned, with fresh green chilies, garlic, and a hint of ginger elevating the flavors. It’s the kind of dish that makes you want to keep going back for more—especially if you love a bit of heat.
The ambiance of the restaurant is another highlight. The decor strikes a perfect balance between modern and traditional, with cozy seating and warm lighting that create an inviting atmosphere. The walls are adorned with subtle Chinese-inspired artwork, adding an authentic touch without feeling overdone. Whether you're here for a casual dinner or a more intimate meal, the setting offers a comfortable vibe that makes you feel right at home.
Location-wise, Hakka Fusion is ideally situated in Sevoke Road Near Don Bosco More, making it easy to pop in whether you're out shopping or looking for a delicious dinner spot. Parking can be a bit tight, but it's well worth the visit. The restaurant itself is easy to find, and the friendly staff will make you feel welcome from the moment you walk in.
Overall, Hakka Fusion is a great choice for anyone craving flavorful Chinese food in a cozy setting. If you're a fan of spicy dishes like chili chicken, you won't be...
Read moreIn Siliguri, if you're looking for Chinese food that is decent in quality and quantity, then this is recommended. The cost is mid-range but the quantities are generous and you can get prawns here too.
The taste is typically Indo Chinese, but the food is light, not very oily, flavorful, and well-presented. The servers are polite and very helpful.
Of course, the cooking expertise ranges from quite good for many dishes to average for a few, but on the whole it's well worth the visit, and good value for money regarding taste and quantity.
Single dishes of noodles or rice are usually enough for two, and the soup can be done 1x2. This makes it easy if you want to grab a quick, light Asian meal and split it with a friend.
I had eaten here pre-Covid, and I'm glad the taste and eating experience has definitely improved. It's definitely a place to come back to.
It's easily accessible, just at the corner of the Don Bosco More, very close to Checkpost.
For parking, it's fairly easy parking a bike, but for a car you might need to park in the Don Bosco lane or further along...
Read moreWe had gone for lunch and had ordered Sweet Lime soda and Passion Fruit mojito, Drums of Heaven, Hakka Chilli Chicken and Mushroom Fried Rice (chicken).
Some of the starters weren't available, especially chicken wings items. And also beverage is limited.
Although the food was tasty, it wasn't spicy as I had requested it to be. The drums were doused in honey, which wasn't mentioned in the menu. It was just so sweet. Not a fan of sweet chicken. The chilli chicken tasted good, but would have been better if it was spicy. The mushroom chicken fried rice felt like a rip-off. The quantity is just enough for 1 person. Not a shareable dish. Also the amount of chicken was extremely negligible. Didn't feel like a chicken fried rice.
There's nothing special about the atmosphere, pretty standard place. Service was adequate.
Ok for a quick bite if you are in the vicinity. Or if you want a no-frill place with decent food at somewhat decent prices, which won't take much...
