When I first got word that the legendary footballer Baichung Bhutia was opening an upscale restaurant in Siliguri, I knew I HAD to go here. And boy, did it live up to the hype.

GOAT Siliguri separates itself from the crowd of restaurants in Siliguri by offering an upscale dining experience with a strong focus on mixology and unique drinks. They have a great bistro ambience in their lower floor, while the upper floor is a rooftop bar with a central mixing bar where you get to see your drinks being made in front of you.

And with his footballing heritage, it is unsurprising that there are glimpses of it strewn through the place. Whether it be signed match jerseys from Manchester City or from his teammates, or the floating statue of him hitting a bicycle kick, there's enough flair here to make it truly stand out.

So far, I've been here twice, and I've sampled a lot of their food. My favorites include their Pizzas(especially later at night when the Neapolitan oven turns on), their Mutton Keema Bao and their Nachos, which I simply love.

Their cocktail selection is unmatched in Siliguri, with expertly made drinks galore on the menu. On one occasion, the bartender made me a clarified gin concoction that was one of the best drinks I've ever had. Highly recommend just chatting to him to figure out what might be best for you

The service is top notch, the waiters take such great care of you and will help you with any modifications you might need for your order or simply for recommendations.

Overall, I very highly recommend this place for a fun night out with a group of friends, a date with your special one, or even your family.

GOAT is a one of a kind dine space in Siliguri. Owned by the former captain of India the Amazing Mr. Bhaichung Bhutia, GOAT sets itself apart from all other dining establishments in town by scoring on all the right areas.

Initially, we were greeted by the manager (I assume) to show us our positions for the night. However, we wanted a table on the mezzanine which was mostly occupied and so we requested for the same. With the ball in their court, the GOAT staff huddled quickly and we were escorted to a table upstairs. The staff came forward showing great team coordination.

So, to kick off our night, we ordered some jalapeño balls and prawn, chicken appetisers (I forget the name) along with some drinks. We were hoping it would score big. The cocktails did not seem to miss the mark but as for the food, in my opinion, there could’ve been a better flavour formation. Don’t get me wrong though it never made me feel offside. However, the sushi came out of left field providing the save for the night. Best sushi I’ve had in Siliguri yet.

We ordered some more food and drinks which I don’t really remember now (blame it on the alcohol) but I can assure you that it left my taste buds cheering for more. But it was the performance of the waitstaff that really stole the show for me with their nimble footwork avoiding any service fouls.

All in all, a nice experience and an obvious recommendation. GOAT is in the league of some really good restaurants in town. I most definitely will visit again whenever I have...
