Golden Sun Beach Resort — Hotel in Tamil Nadu

Located at Mahabalipuram, a good long drive to reach the resort. But so many disadvantages of booking rooms here, here is a glance. ||Pros: ||Location, sea and pool view rooms. Thats all...||Cons:||Rooms pretty old and not maintained well at all. Patchy paint and distemper has come off at many places in the room.||Not spacious for 3 people. Once the extra bed was put, barely able to walk.||Extra bed was provided but were told no pillows , there are 4 pillows on the bed, adjust in that. They are soft pillows, one person needs 2. The north indian guy who got the bed was very rude.||Toilet gun was on the left hand side, I do not know how one is supposed to use it to wash.||Toilet seat very small, very uncomfortable to sit on it.||Mould in a lot of places. ||No hot water from both pipes.||2 mini soaps and 1 small shampoo was not sufficient for 3 ppl. ||Other 7K rupee rooms provide tooth brush, tooth paste, dental kit, and a comb.||Room service was pretty bad - |we asked for ice - they said its 100 Rs, but came 15 mins after the call.|we said the resort has power, only our room there is no electricity - they did not bother for 30 mins, after our second call, it was back on in another 10 mins. It it chennai, not kodaikanal to manage without fan or AC. God.|we asked for towels - came after 45 mins.||Table Tennis table was partially broken, net was disoriented, no TT ball. ||Since resort has around 70 rooms, one or the other major gang takes up the volleyball, badminton and cricket apparatus so we are just left with nothing. ||Pool is quite small more than 1 large gang and it gets really crowded inside, need to wait for long duration so that its almost less crowded.||Beach was almost accessible always, however, the resort had taken money for a couple photoshoot, so beach was off limits after 6:30 pm so that we wont interrupt their shoot.||On weekends, pretty much 90% of the rooms get booked, so be prepared to see a lot of people despite getting away from the city crowd.||No indication/information regarding what are all included as complimentary breakfast - ex. dosas and ommelettes. |We only knew after a couple ordered it and were told its free of cost. ||Food was not great but not bad too. ||Lizards inside and outside the room, no repellants kept.||No comfortable chairs in the room to sit, i sat in a wooden back chair and...

Pathetic Experience. Sorry for giving this review little late as I was busy in Hospital. We have planned for a 2 day family trip, 3 members (myself, wife & my Mom). Our booking was for 2 Rooms from 29th Mar - 31st Mar 2024 and paid Rs. 24,000 including Breakfast. We started at morning from Bangalore and took the Hoskote route which showed till faster in GMaps. After travelling for approx 100 Kms, we took a breakfast break at Udupi Bhavan and after having breakfast, my Mom went to washroom and tragically she fell down and was not able to move. With the the help of few restaurant people, somehow we managed to put her in the car and we again came back to Bangalore and went straight to Manipal Hospital, Whitefield Emergency. After CT MRI and all checks, Doctor told she had a hip-joint fracture and needs to undergo surgery at the earliest. Next day, on 30th Mar 2024 - the surgery happened and she got discharge on 4th April 2024.

So, my point for writing the entire story is because, the moment this accident happened, while driving back to Bangalore, I called the Hotel Manager and told him the situation and also told him that I don't want a refund but atleast give me some other dates but he was more concerned about the money and inhumanly told, "Sorry Sir We can't do anything". I also told, if you don't believe, I will share with you all medical docs from Manipal but since he got a chance to earn double from the same room, so why to loose that opportunity and straight refused my request. I also requested MMT to take care of this but they also didn't do anything. I will never suggest anyone to visit this place as people there are only money minded and In-human.
