Edited after response: The comment of the staff on social media is personal and derogatory. Every word spoken by me is true. You cannot give bad food and expect people to review well. Also, I hail from a place which has winters much colder than Yelagiri. I see many women travelling with their babies day in and day out. Who are you to judge someone based on that? Google on travelling mother bloggers and you will be enlightened to know that there are plenty. About your sarcasm - Yes 'Kudos' to me for travelling with my baby because I can take care of her and sacrifice my hard earned money of 6500 Rs charged per night to leave your stinking hotel room, putting my baby's best interest on priority. You or anyone on this planet 'Sir' will not teach me to do so. If you do have a legal team(which you claim), please consult with them and ensure how your personal attack on me will be termed as internet bullying and put your reputation on stake. Not once you have realised your mistake and apologized. This is the most HORRIBLE and cash burning experience ever for me.
Review - We visited Hotel Landmark for 31st Night with our 6 month old daughter. Following is my detailed review of how we cash burner 12.5 K +and spoilt our new year eve. Approach/Attitude - This is not a resort. This maybe called a lodge or Dharamshala in a good location with a failed facelift of a hotel/resort. I have least ideas why would they provide us a room (someone with a small baby) on a top floor when there is no lift service. While we requested for a change of room, we were declined saying the hotel is full. We were staying for 2 nights and even after the hotel was practically empty after 31st eve we were not offered for a room shift. Also, we booked for 2 nights and faced a no. of situations leading us to leave the following day afternoon and no one was bothered to ask us the reason for the same. No courtesy or customer service whatsoever.
Food- I have read other reviews about the food being so delicious. I think it will be fair to say either the reviewers have never eaten out in other restaurants or they have written a fake review. Worst kind of vegetarian lunch with limited items on 31st Dec was provided as a buffet. Price was exuberant and food was cold with a burnt dessert in side.
Price/ New Year Celebration- Mandatory Charge of 800Rs per head for limited menu for dinner and bonfire plus music( pre-dominantly south indian music). No DJ, no host and no event. They stopped each time to switch music and did not even know how to queue songs. Fireworks done on the open area near to lawn facing rooms directly leading smoke inside the room. How do you expect the smoke of fireworks to be taken in by a small baby? Inconsiderate and insensitive towards guest.
Hotel Appearance- Rather smaller than what shown in pictures. Pool was small and the waterfall created was not working. Fountain water flow was only switched on at night.
Staff -The staff spoke broken English in the hotel reception. There was no female receptionist, just a bunch of guys trying to run a half hearted show. Had to remind them to provide toiletries twice. Hand towels were requested and they gave us tattered smelly old big towels. No greeting not even a smile on new year. I have been on resorts where manager insists guests to eat their fill and ensures warm gestures are exchanged. No room service on the 31st, not even tea? Limited staff which cannot handle any rush. No cleaning staff on the following day to clean room or washroom.
Room - The room was spacious with a cupboard, cot and dining table. Kettle is also provided in room.
Washroom felt dirty from day one. No slipper and no carpets in the room provided. We took an AC room and the AC kept fluctuating and switching off and on. By night the washroom was smelling aweful and so did the room. By next morning it was unbearable and we decided to leave even if we paid and extravagant price of 6K per night. The linen felt so dirty that we used our sweaters at night.

Read moreI recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Landmark Yelagiri, and I must say, it was an absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish. If you're looking for a peaceful and comfortable retreat, this hotel is the perfect choice!
Upon arrival, I was immediately impressed with the warm and welcoming demeanor of the staff. From the reception to the housekeeping team, everyone went out of their way to ensure that we felt at home. Their friendly and courteous behavior set the tone for the entire stay.
The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable—everything you could ask for in a peaceful getaway. The bed was incredibly comfortable, allowing for restful nights, and the overall ambiance of the room was soothing, with tasteful decor that added to the sense of relaxation. It truly felt like a home away from home. The room service was prompt and efficient, and the staff made sure that every need was met with a smile.
One of the highlights of our stay was the food. The on-site restaurant offered a wide variety of mouthwatering dishes, each more delicious than the last. From local flavors to international cuisines, the food was always fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The breakfast spread was equally impressive, offering a great start to each day.
For families or anyone looking for some recreational activities, the hotel offers an excellent play area. It's a great spot for kids to unwind, and even adults can enjoy the space for some light-hearted fun. The well-maintained, clean swimming pool was another highlight. It was a great place to relax, take a dip, and soak in the surrounding beauty.
The ambiance of the hotel is simply delightful. The entire property is lush, serene, and meticulously maintained, making it a peaceful retreat for those looking to escape the hustle and bustle. We enjoyed a bonfire with music in the evening, which was an unforgettable experience. The cozy setting, combined with the soothing music and warmth of the fire, made for a perfect evening under the stars.
Another feature that really stood out was the open-air theatre. It was a unique addition to the property, offering a chance to unwind and enjoy a movie or performance under the open sky, adding to the overall charm of the place.
All in all, Hotel Landmark Yelagiri is the perfect blend of comfort, great service, and enjoyable activities. The staff truly takes care of every detail, and the amenities provided make it well worth the money. Whether you’re visiting for a short getaway or an extended vacation, this place offers everything you need to relax, unwind, and have a memorable time. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to experience top-notch hospitality and a...
Read moreWent with my family and took my sister's family along with me.
Food: Just awesome! Thanks to Mr. Thyagarajan who got us these special. (I had Butter chicken, chicken fried rice, chettinad chicken, phulka). It's my 4th visit to Yelagiri. Based on my past experiences I told my family that food will be like 50/50. But to my surprise trust me it was really good (Or at least these dishes mentioned above that I had there were delicious). Coffee, Boost, Tea were also of good taste.
Complimentary breakfast given in room also was superb. Poori masala with my cup of coffee was my favorite.
Tip to tourists - Because of Covid we are able to dine in room itself. So you goto any resort, expect room to become a little messy after food. Hence immediately after food is over call 214 extension to take plates back. I did it and that's how I managed it.
Entertainment: 1.Swimming pool: Swimming pool is a big one. Both kids and senior pool available. I enjoyed with my 2 year old kid in kids pool and took a good swimming for 1 hour in senior pool.
Badminton court One court is available. Of course outdoor. As long as we are lucky and not much of wind or rain is there, we can play well.
Kids park area : This is my favorite part. My 2 years and 8 years juniors had a very amusing time here.
Advise to tourists - DON'T LET KIDS PLAY ALONE anywhere.
Room and Hygiene : Rooms are very spacious (Or atleast the one I booked the Kings suite room). The best part is balcony view is amazing. I had a candle lite dinner with my family at balcony (lol not exactly candle light, used my phone torch). There is one dining table in room as well. Its upto you where you wanna dine. In balcony or inside room.
Bathrooms were clean and neat.
Bonus News : My sister lost her ring near the swimming pool. We searched a lot but couldn't get it anywhere. I reached my home back in Chennai only to hear from the resort management (Mr Thyagarajan sir) that they have found it and that they have some contact who will come to my city in few days so that I could get it from him. I'm so moved by their attitude and intent. Thanks a lot. A new ring could be bought with few bucks but not it's emotional connect. we were emotionally down until I heard the news as it was my sister's marriage ring. Thanks to the resort gentlemen and to God too for getting the ring back. Or else I had to face my sister's sad face for the next few days.
Overall it was a great stay for me and my family.
I'm planning to go again in...
