About Infrastructure and location, rooms were big. Location and views around were good. Small things like lawn, ramps etc have made the property a very well designed and rustic one. And unfortunately this is the end of good things. We didn't like the hospitality part of this restaurant at all and will not recommend this place. Some examples : 1. There is no clear parking spot and when you park where available guard comes and haggles saying it is not allowed here and don't blame us if your vehicle has scratches afterwards. And their low lying benches are very likely to scratch your vehicle. 2. The pool is not maintained. Water is murky and shower room not cleaned in weeks. Also fittings of pool were not maintained leading to injury to one of us. 3. Food is very very spicy, to offset we asked for a bit of salad at least onions and waa welcomed with no. There is no medium /less spicy option. 4. The complete place is in dire need of maintainence in form of deep cleaning of rooms, fresh bedsheets etc. Fresh, good quality crockery etc. 5. Bonfire no one knows when it starts and when it gets over. And you have a chain of command to get one batch getting lit. Usually at least a simple bonefire is provided till customers are there but here it is provided till 9pm. 6. No a-la-carte option. No room service. I have been to places which had poor infra or location but the hospitality and facilities has made me give no less than 4 stars. This is a beautifully located property completely understaffed, mismanaged, and the price it asks for the same is not worth it. We went to another place nearby for food and had a completely different vibe, great music, neately maintained, great food options and for groups even cheaper than this one. For this experience I would have paid max 60-65% of the price they quote. However with demand we saw there are less hopes for any of the suggestions.

If Yelagiri is the place, Landmark is the hotel to be stayed in, it is as simple as that. 1. Safe, Neat & Huge parking with a lot of trees 2. Spacious & Ventilated rooms 3. Wide corridor & Private Balconies with lush green look out 4. Relaxing Restrooms with enough toiletries 5. Dressing cupboard with a nice make up mirror 6. Huge queen size bed if not king size it is 7. Nice food & can be served in the room as well with a nice dining table. The same table can be used for working as well. 8. The property has a huge space where you can happily leave your kids to hangout or go for a walk with your wife or parents. 9. Kids have a nice play area, they have a cricket kit, football, Volley ball, and badminton with proper courts. 10. Special note of the swimming pool with total privacy until unless you are going on prime weekend time. 11. If you are planning to take your parents to Yelagiri, this hotel should be the one to be selected, it has that much space so that they cannot complain that they are restricted to the room. 12. The lake (boat house) & murugan temple are just steps away. 13. This property has few negative points, but those will not come into your mind when you are there. 14. They do camp fire as well. 15. If you have any family functions, you can also plan that there. They have halls to accommodate even marriage as well. Personal Note: I have observed tourists or travellers throw their plastic bottles & garbage in the lush green areas of the property & also across the Yelagiri hills. Like we enjoyed, the forthcoming generations also need to explore & cherish these places, so please be mindful about your activities. Thanks for the understanding.

Horrible and pathetic service, behaviour of the lady at reception is very bad and she doesn’t care if you are coming with a small kid, paid heavy amount for rooms and demanding basic things like coffee or tea sachets. Room - very bad room quality, nets are not good (defective) and so mosquitos keeps coming inside, no arrangement for mosquito repellent, room windows are dirty and full of insects and all jammed. We have to but additional mosquito repellent to keep our baby safe. The room was supposed to be nice garden view but they gave garbage and forest view which resulted in more mosquitoes to entertain us throughout the night. When requested for room change they denied though for some others they changed the room. In the room there is one tubelight at one corner and other corner is dark and hence very difficult to sustain the whole night peacefully. Service- the worst in yellagiri, we stayed in Sterling and Hotel Kumararaja and there service was good and pleasant but here the attitude of people is horrible (specially the lady in reception). Service takes hell lot of time and they denied to serve plain rice and daal for my baby. Price and reviews: dont get fooled by reviews and price drop. In reality its not even worth paying the amount for the room and service provided. Reviews seems to be fake and its still under construction and very damaged and untidy property.

Edited after response: The comment of the staff on social media is personal and derogatory. Every word spoken by me is true. You cannot give bad food and expect people to review well. Also, I hail from a place which has winters much colder than Yelagiri. I see many women travelling with their babies day in and day out. Who are you to judge someone based on that? Google on travelling mother bloggers and you will be enlightened to know that there are plenty. About your sarcasm - Yes 'Kudos' to me for travelling with my baby because I can take care of her and sacrifice my hard earned money of 6500 Rs charged per night to leave your stinking hotel room, putting my baby's best interest on priority. You or anyone on this planet 'Sir' will not teach me to do so. If you do have a legal team(which you claim), please consult with them and ensure how your personal attack on me will be termed as internet bullying and put your reputation on stake. Not once you have realised your mistake and apologized. This is the most HORRIBLE and cash burning experience ever for me.

Review - We visited Hotel Landmark for 31st Night with our 6 month old daughter. Following is my detailed review of how we cash burner 12.5 K +and spoilt our new year eve. Approach/Attitude - This is not a resort. This maybe called a lodge or Dharamshala in a good location with a failed facelift of a hotel/resort. I have least ideas why would they provide us a room (someone with a small baby) on a top floor when there is no lift service. While we requested for a change of room, we were declined saying the hotel is full. We were staying for 2 nights and even after the hotel was practically empty after 31st eve we were not offered for a room shift. Also, we booked for 2 nights and faced a no. of situations leading us to leave the following day afternoon and no one was bothered to ask us the reason for the same. No courtesy or customer service whatsoever.

Food- I have read other reviews about the food being so delicious. I think it will be fair to say either the reviewers have never eaten out in other restaurants or they have written a fake review. Worst kind of vegetarian lunch with limited items on 31st Dec was provided as a buffet. Price was exuberant and food was cold with a burnt dessert in side.

Price/ New Year Celebration- Mandatory Charge of 800Rs per head for limited menu for dinner and bonfire plus music( pre-dominantly south indian music). No DJ, no host and no event. They stopped each time to switch music and did not even know how to queue songs. Fireworks done on the open area near to lawn facing rooms directly leading smoke inside the room. How do you expect the smoke of fireworks to be taken in by a small baby? Inconsiderate and insensitive towards guest.

Hotel Appearance- Rather smaller than what shown in pictures. Pool was small and the waterfall created was not working. Fountain water flow was only switched on at night.

Staff -The staff spoke broken English in the hotel reception. There was no female receptionist, just a bunch of guys trying to run a half hearted show. Had to remind them to provide toiletries twice. Hand towels were requested and they gave us tattered smelly old big towels. No greeting not even a smile on new year. I have been on resorts where manager insists guests to eat their fill and ensures warm gestures are exchanged. No room service on the 31st, not even tea? Limited staff which cannot handle any rush. No cleaning staff on the following day to clean room or washroom.

Room - The room was spacious with a cupboard, cot and dining table. Kettle is also provided in room.

Washroom felt dirty from day one. No slipper and no carpets in the room provided. We took an AC room and the AC kept fluctuating and switching off and on. By night the washroom was smelling aweful and so did the room. By next morning it was unbearable and we decided to leave even if we paid and extravagant price of 6K per night. The linen felt so dirty that we used our sweaters at night.

All in all...

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Landmark Yelagiri, and I must say, it was an absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish. If you're looking for a peaceful and comfortable retreat, this hotel is the perfect choice!

Upon arrival, I was immediately impressed with the warm and welcoming demeanor of the staff. From the reception to the housekeeping team, everyone went out of their way to ensure that we felt at home. Their friendly and courteous behavior set the tone for the entire stay.

The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable—everything you could ask for in a peaceful getaway. The bed was incredibly comfortable, allowing for restful nights, and the overall ambiance of the room was soothing, with tasteful decor that added to the sense of relaxation. It truly felt like a home away from home. The room service was prompt and efficient, and the staff made sure that every need was met with a smile.

One of the highlights of our stay was the food. The on-site restaurant offered a wide variety of mouthwatering dishes, each more delicious than the last. From local flavors to international cuisines, the food was always fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The breakfast spread was equally impressive, offering a great start to each day.

For families or anyone looking for some recreational activities, the hotel offers an excellent play area. It's a great spot for kids to unwind, and even adults can enjoy the space for some light-hearted fun. The well-maintained, clean swimming pool was another highlight. It was a great place to relax, take a dip, and soak in the surrounding beauty.

The ambiance of the hotel is simply delightful. The entire property is lush, serene, and meticulously maintained, making it a peaceful retreat for those looking to escape the hustle and bustle. We enjoyed a bonfire with music in the evening, which was an unforgettable experience. The cozy setting, combined with the soothing music and warmth of the fire, made for a perfect evening under the stars.

Another feature that really stood out was the open-air theatre. It was a unique addition to the property, offering a chance to unwind and enjoy a movie or performance under the open sky, adding to the overall charm of the place.

All in all, Hotel Landmark Yelagiri is the perfect blend of comfort, great service, and enjoyable activities. The staff truly takes care of every detail, and the amenities provided make it well worth the money. Whether you’re visiting for a short getaway or an extended vacation, this place offers everything you need to relax, unwind, and have a memorable time. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to experience top-notch hospitality and a...

Went with my family and took my sister's family along with me.

Food: Just awesome! Thanks to Mr. Thyagarajan who got us these special. (I had Butter chicken, chicken fried rice, chettinad chicken, phulka). It's my 4th visit to Yelagiri. Based on my past experiences I told my family that food will be like 50/50. But to my surprise trust me it was really good (Or at least these dishes mentioned above that I had there were delicious). Coffee, Boost, Tea were also of good taste.

Complimentary breakfast given in room also was superb. Poori masala with my cup of coffee was my favorite.

Tip to tourists - Because of Covid we are able to dine in room itself. So you goto any resort, expect room to become a little messy after food. Hence immediately after food is over call 214 extension to take plates back. I did it and that's how I managed it.

Entertainment: 1.Swimming pool: Swimming pool is a big one. Both kids and senior pool available. I enjoyed with my 2 year old kid in kids pool and took a good swimming for 1 hour in senior pool.

Badminton court One court is available. Of course outdoor. As long as we are lucky and not much of wind or rain is there, we can play well.

Kids park area : This is my favorite part. My 2 years and 8 years juniors had a very amusing time here.

Advise to tourists - DON'T LET KIDS PLAY ALONE anywhere.

Room and Hygiene : Rooms are very spacious (Or atleast the one I booked the Kings suite room). The best part is balcony view is amazing. I had a candle lite dinner with my family at balcony (lol not exactly candle light, used my phone torch). There is one dining table in room as well. Its upto you where you wanna dine. In balcony or inside room.

Bathrooms were clean and neat.

Bonus News : My sister lost her ring near the swimming pool. We searched a lot but couldn't get it anywhere. I reached my home back in Chennai only to hear from the resort management (Mr Thyagarajan sir) that they have found it and that they have some contact who will come to my city in few days so that I could get it from him. I'm so moved by their attitude and intent. Thanks a lot. A new ring could be bought with few bucks but not it's emotional connect. we were emotionally down until I heard the news as it was my sister's marriage ring. Thanks to the resort gentlemen and to God too for getting the ring back. Or else I had to face my sister's sad face for the next few days.

Overall it was a great stay for me and my family.

I'm planning to go again in...
