Hotel Royal Inn at Tiruvannamalai is an overrated hotel for pilgrims. The hotel lacks in every department - location, staff, Service, facilities, basic manners. We stayed there for 1 night and had the worst experience. Loaction - Though the hotel is 100mts from main road and 1km from Main Temple, the small unconstructed lanes make it extremely difficult to reach the hotel. The hotel is inaccessible by car from main road, and poor directions make it extremely difficult for outsiders to reach. The hotel staff was also unable to provide any help. Staff - The staff is extremely uncourteous and ill mannered in speaking with customers. They were most rude when we asked for duplicate key to the room, instances that should have been handled with basic decency by reception we were dealt with goondaism (rogues) whose only tone of speech was threatening us to follow what they say - they refused to give duplicate keys, after 20mins of making us wait and speaking to my family he hesitantly used master key to open the door with condition that they would not provide card for electricity. Being a lady with a child I also experienced extreme unsafe atmosphere at the hotel when the male Staff started banging my door and attempted to open it past midnight when I didn't respond to open the door. The staff was very rude even for basic requests like water, coffee, plates. Something as simple as coffee would take 1 hour for room delivery
Services - The hotel room door has no keyhole, no safety chain/lock to secure the guests. There is no locker provided. Insufficient towels, no toiletries, no water bottles, dirty/soiled sheets& pillows. There is no dining inside hotel/no provision for any room service.
We fell for this hotel looking at the ratings which is definitely fake and paid.
Avoid this hotel at any cost. One goes to Tiruvannamalai for pilgrimage and the least one would want is peace of mind, staying at such hotel would only make you lose your peace of mind over safety and peaceful stay.
Donot go to this hotel at any cost.
Receptionist name - Prem (atleast that's the name he gave me) is the person in context who absolutely made our...

I stayed at Hotel Royal Inn, Tiruvannamalai with my family, and it was by far the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. Everything from start to finish was a disaster:
Fake Location Listing: The hotel is NOT located where it's shown online. Reaching it was a hassle.
Disgusting Bathrooms: The water smelled like it was coming straight from a septic tank. It was nauseating.
Broken AC: In peak summer, the AC didn’t work and no one bothered to fix it.
Dirty Lifts & Blankets: The lifts were filthy, the blankets looked used and never washed.
No Drinking Water: We had to keep begging for water; basic hospitality was missing.
Wi-Fi? More like Why-Fi: Constant disconnections made it impossible to even check directions or messages.
Room Service = Joke: Non-existent and unresponsive.
Food Lies: The so-called "complimentary breakfast" was unhygienic and served by hand — no gloves, no cleanliness. I ended up with a stomach ache!
Overpriced Dump: For ₹3,990, you’d expect at least decent service. This hotel should be priced at ₹300, and that too is a stretch.
DO NOT BELIEVE THE PHOTOS OR REVIEWS ONLINE — they’re completely misleading. I seriously regret booking this hotel. If you care about your health and peace of mind, please...
