A family of three, we stayed at this place over the weekend. The staff were very courteous, kind and polite. The rooms were neat and clean and had all the necessary things such as a sofa, cot, pillows, blankets, etc. Drinking water was provided. The room even had a kitchen. My sister used the kettle for some hot water, though we didn't use the kitchen otherwise. My mother aged 79 accompanied us and the staff was kind enough to give us a room on the ground floor. The bathroom was spacious and very clean. Running water was available round the clock. Geyser was present and we could get hot water for a shower any time. Toothpaste, brushes and soaps were provided on the house. The place is very quiet and you can rest here well. All the windows and doors had mosquito meshes so there were no pest problems. Though not part of the package, the staff provided us with some free coffee early at 5 am. A bit difficult to spot this place, given that you have to go through narrow gullies, but if you manage to do it the first time, you won't have any trouble the next time around. Parking is on the streets. No TV, but that only allowed us to remain silent. The whole purpose behind our trip to Tiruvannamalai. About a kilometre or so from Ramana Ashram. Any day, I would love to...
Read moreMy stay at Jayam Residency was fantastic in all aspects. I had stayed there for 2 nights recently.
First and foremost, the room that had a sizeable hall, an annexed kitchen also a decently sized washroom was very clean.
I liked the spaciousness of the bedroom that had an abutting balcony. The kitchen has a fridge, cutlery and a kettle; clean again.
The property is in a quiet place without any hustle bustle or honks. The entire premises looks spic and span.
If you stay here, you must visit the terrace to take a breathtaking view of the Annamalai Hill from there. The hill imposes upon you!!
It's too good to explain. I spent lovely time at the terrace.
Since the location is so close to the popular ashrams, I could easily amble to those places comfortably. Also, there are quite a number of restaurants, Coffee shops and a number of boutique kind of shops enroute to the ashrams.
The staff at the Hotel are courteous and polite and were on their toes if asked for any assistance.
If you are a family or an individual planning to stay put for a few days, you...
Read moreI had the pleasure of staying at Jayam Residency twice—once in 2024 and again recently in January 2025, with my family of 10. Both visits were truly delightful. The place offers a unique experience akin to staying in a 1 BHK apartment, which is perfect for families. The rooms are impeccably clean, contributing to a very comfortable and homely stay.
One of the highlights is the ample and secure car parking, which made our experience even more convenient. Mr. Jayam, the owner, is a very cordial and welcoming host, always ensuring his guests feel at home.
The location is another major advantage—it’s just a 3-minute walk to the Ramana Ashram, making it ideal for those visiting this serene and spiritual landmark. The quiet and secure environment added to the overall pleasant experience, allowing us to relax and enjoy our stay fully.
Overall, I highly recommend Jayam Residency for families and travelers looking for a safe, clean, and homely place to stay in Tiruvannamalai. We had a wonderful time throughout our visit, and I will definitely return...
