Brahmdev Guest House — Hotel in Uttar Pradesh

It was a relief to find this place after searching for a guesthouse for quite some time. We asked about a room, and unlike almost every place we had asked in before, the man we talked to was quick to smile and say "room! of course we have!". He looked pleased to have us there and we were quick to accept the lovely, simple double room for 400rs a night. We stayed on the first floor, in a bright and airy room, with private balcony, hot water, and clean bathroom. The atmosphere in the guesthouse is very familial and it felt right to give them our money. phew! The only minus i can think of is the temple that they have on the main floor where they ring loud bells every morning at 5am! But bring earplugs and youll be fine. In varanasi, its hard to avoid...

I spent around a month at this guest house and it was a very memorable stay .. it had the most amazing view of the Ganga and the hosts where very friendly and helpful .. you felt like family .. it was very clean tidy, simple and comfortable .... I will definitely stay again when I make it back to Benares .. it was very affordable also and great value .. close to everything and easy to get around .. lots of people practicing music ( which was the purpose of my visit ) it felt like a musical ashram .. though also very quiet and peaceful with times of special activity as only India can do .. it also has a great rooftop which you can relax on .. fly a kite or do yoga at sunrise and sunset ... a...

I stayed at a room with Ganges view for a month during my voluntary work with NGO there. I've stayed more than 10 guest houses in Varanasi, and I like this place the most. It was best Ganges view I've ever seen from room and rooftop too. Every morning I saw sunrise from my room. In evening time, you can watch sunset from rooftop and enjoy very peaceful atmosphere. This guest house is owned by family and all family members are so friendly and helpful. Wifi and hot shower always work properly. It's located very convenient area where you can find many restaurants and shops nearby, and river is just 1 minute...
