Fortune Park BBD, Lucknow - Member ITC hotels' group — Hotel in Uttar Pradesh

I frequent Lucknow for business. A friend suggested this hotel due to close proximity of the offices we visit. I checked in for 3 nights. Although with Fortune name....We so expect a certain quality and standard. But this specific hotel is far from any of those standards. Service is slower than snail. If you order cappuccino during breakfast.....be prepared to wait for over 20 minutes after a few reminders. This happen on both the days of my breakfast. The shower system is also designed for tampering you. There is no continuous flow of warm water on the setting you desire. It fluctuates from warm to cold. Perhaps when the pressurepump triggers......you get a gust of absolutely cold water......Then.....It stabilised and goes your desired setting and again in mess than 20 seconds it goes cold. There is no fixing this.

Today when I had a guests who visited me......around 2pm..........I ordered for watermelon juice and fresh lime soda.......It took over 45 minutes and 2 reminders to get it delivered. (No sorry for the delay). I had work through the night yesterday......But the air conditioning here only for cooling and I had to sit wearing my warm jacket and warm pyjamas and a cap to feel comfortable. Today again when I begin work I switched the air conditioner to heating and 27 degree. It's 2 hours and the temperature is still at 21. On complaining ......the front office told to send a maintainence person. But as usual.........for half an hour no one turned up. This where I lost it. Called again at front office in a language that works best in our part of the world........And it was only after that they send the maintainence guy. The guy came and tried his hand on setting the temperature as desired. But crafter a few minutes he told me that that there is only cooling and no heating where as the cotrol panel is very modern with all options....... how funny. To top it the great experience......There was log banging and drilling noise in the rooms next door ....May be there is maintainence happening.....But the maintainence has been going on since morning and it is still running at 930pm. Wow. Guests must pay the price of their demand and not find a quite place to come and rest for the evening. Again I had to call reception and shout at them at past 930pm to stop the noise. It was only after that some one got it stopped. Frankly speaking hotels charging 1200rs per night are these days better in service and comfort than the fortune hotels.

I would not recommend this property to anyone. It's not value for money and it's a bad bad experience to be staying in this hotel. On the 4th floor there is perpetual humming noise that does not leave you to sleep peacefully.

I would recommend all readers to please use other hotels for their stay in Lucknow. Never this hotel. It's a ripoff.

I hated my stay here to the extent that I decided to checkout at 10pm to shift to a better hotel to gain a good night sleep in some warm room.

Superb Nawabi hospitality and the food to go with it! Simply the best value for money hotel we stayed in India, the best bang for buck, service and accommodation to go with it. We stayed here on 2 occasions for 1 night each time. The hotel is about a 30 mins drive from the airport, located in a relatively busy area of Lucknow. Check in took longer than expected as the they will take copies of ID, however once we had checked everything was fine. Firstly, the rooms are spacious and very comfortable. I loved the carpets which gave the room a warm cosy feel, the beds are very comfortable and large. Cleanliness is as expected and everything works, we also received complimentary fruit, chocolates and water on one night. We had a hot power shower and complimentary toiletries. Staff - amazing especially Tejasvi and Suryavansh, both of whom are an absolute asset to ITC, they went above and beyond. The service and hospitality they provided was the best we received in India. We arrived late in the night and not only did they keep the buffet open for us but they also gave us a discount. I have to be honest, the food here was amazing, the buffet had the most exquisite dishes, full of flavour and absolutely superb. Some of the best Indian food I have eaten anywhere, every single person in our group agreed. Even my children who are not keen on Indian food loved it, my parents who are Indian in origin have a tendency to find something wrong with the food when eating out at Indian restaurants, but not this time, they were left speechless. Breakfast was just as good, and the selection of dishes available was fantastic. During our second stay the room was not ready but we were offered complimentary drinks whilst we waited. All communal areas were clean and well presented. The gym is more than adequate and had a good selection of equipment, the pool was clean but too cold to use. Again, this was the best value for money hotel we stayed at in India, the service was on a par and exceeded some 5 star hotels we have stayed in, the food was unforgettable, some of the best Indian food we have ever tasted, if you are in Lucknow, and even if you are not staying at the hotel you must visit the restaurant. I would definitely stay here again, hopefully next...

Hotel does not seem like even a member of ITC, forget about being part of ITC. Probably ITC should take back it’s from this hotel. So this post is about Mr. Kishor who is incharge of handling halls and buffet. I wanned a hall for my own Roka ceremony on 6th of Nov 2021 and I was directed to Mr Kishor who handles all the bookings. Initially i.e a month prior to the ceremony, I contacted him but he kept keeping my calls in between the conversation saying he will call me back but never reverted back. After 4 to 5 conversations he agreed to arrange the hall and keep special buffet for the afternoon ceremony. He never told me anything about signing any agreement or anything like that and was very casual about it and said “sir aapka sab arrange ho Gaya hai, aap fikar mat karo”. One day before the ceremony when I visited the hotel in the evening, I get to hear from someone else that for a special buffet it has to be told to the chef at least two day prior for the arrangements and for my ceremony it has been written in the diary as “chef’s choice”. I was very furious but still I tried calling Kishor which obviously he did not pick up in the evening. Later at 10 he called me. I told him I was about to book lunch at other famous restaurant and he made me book at his hotel saying he will arrange everything. For this he said okay sir u can go to that restaurant only and I am cancelling ur booking. Wow!!! I told him gimmi 5 min. N I’ll get back about it, but he was rude and he started telling me that I was comparing the prestigious fortune hotel with a small restaurant( a restaurant which comes under top 5 eateries in Lucknow when searched) and now I can carry on with that restaurant itself. One night before… what a joke. I was speechless I said u r taking it in a wrong way. Then all of a sudden he was like, I will arrange everything what I said and I’ll be there for the ceremony tomorrow. I said okay if u say so. Next day obviously he was not available and the food was very ordinary but still had to pay for a special buffet. A lesson learned. Now I’ll get a reply from the GM saying you can mail me the issue.
