The worst place to stay in Varanasi. I had a horrible experience staying there. Stayed there for two days( 27/09/2023-29/09/2023). I had booked a private ac room with balcony. The room was so small and the bed and other necessities were just garbage. The washroom was stinging and couldn't be used. Got no benefit of balcony as the AC's water was constantly flowing in the balcony. The staff was so bad and behaved miserably. Only an intern named Raja was great coz of him we had a bit better time there else everyone made our life hell there. There was no room service provided. Asked for bedsheet and towel in the Morning got it in evening after calling for several times. The staff didn't even change the bedsheet just gave saying "there's mam in the room so it'll be awkward". There was sindur stain on the bedsheet, called to inform but no-one picked and we ignored as we had to leave for ganga aarti. We came back slept at 1 am and exactly at 3:30 am we left for assi ghat, we came back at 10:30 am and were just about to check out and that was the most horrible time for us. The staff asked us to take the bedsheet and towels cos there's sindur stain and pay 2k. We argued on it as I am an unmarried girl, how in this universe will I bring sindur when I don't even apply it. And we had spend minimal time in their hostel. They were not ready to listen to anything and was just demanding money. They threatened us to take legal action, we in turn too called our advocate. Then came Raja to settle down the matter, he asked us to just pay for dry cleaning that was almost a sum of 900 for one bedsheet and two towels and said in case if the stain doens't go then again we'll have to pay extra fine. We agreed for dry cleaning but proposed to give it for dry cleaning ourselves in online dry cleaning services, again they didn't agree and fought but lastly give up. But in the meanwhile they didn't let us leave till 2:30 pm. We had to miss our train from ddu coz of this. Coincidentally we selected the same laundry service which they use, I asked from their executive if the stain would go or not, they said it'll go completely and the amount to be paid was just 316 rupees. On reaching ddu I got a call from the laundry service, they informed there's no sindur stain rather oil and paint stains as there's renovation work going on. I immediately called the hostel stating the bedsheet has been changed and they should send my used bedsheet, they shouted saying " u have spoiled one bedsheet and get one bedsheet cleaned, I argued on it and emphasised on giving back my bedsheet". Then they said if there'll be oil and paint stain then I'll not have to pay they'll pay. I sent them the pictures they agreed on paying. 2 days back when the delivery executive went to deliver, they refused paying saying I'll have to pay it no matter what, the staff threatened me saying "mam jaida mt boliye apke photos h hamare pass, apki personal details h, acha nhi hoga". On this I warned them of taking legal action, then I got a call from backend team. The lady was covering up the matter saying our staff hasn't said anything wrong and there was miscommunication from our end. Actually the bedsheet got mixed up and our laundry person cleaned it. I said I was being informed that my bedsheet has been rejected stating sindur stain won't go and now u are saying it's cleaned. This argument went for 15 mins and lastly to settle down the matter they asked me not to pay and not take any legal action. I had to go through all these harassment, I missed my train and all. I had directly booked a room through them and still faced such issues. This hostel is not at all recommended. Only the intern Raja was polite and helpful plus the living area is nice and the terrace is ok ok. Rest experience is...
Read moreThe pictures uploaded by the Property Manager is completely illusion. Only the Graffiti paintings on the wall is good & rest all the things are pathetic or to be very precise very horrible. Rooms look very big in the picture uploaded by the hotel ( may be they have taken a panaromic angle picture very smartly) but in reality you can't even move comfortably in the room. The distance between wall & your bed is hardly one and half feet all across the border. Washrooms are dirty, rusted and yellow cumbords.. When we checked in poop pieces were lying on the corners of the toilet. My room no. was 204 - anyone can go & verify. You have to sit at 45 degree angle on the cumbord as one side of it is hardly 6 inches from the wall. Pathetic experience - I was helpless as I had paid tariff for 3 days in advance .. I could not go & clear myself, in fact I visited some restaurants outside to freshen myself ..Completely frustated and helpless. Whatever reviews are given are definitely manipulated and fabricated ones. Also at the entrance itself you would see stray dogs with entire family of pups and their poop. Also, you would find dirty & smelly daadi waala Bakras all across the entrance. Everytime I use to go out & come in I used to clean my shoes as it was full of poop. Horrible - I don't even want to recall it again. They kept me waited for small towels in washroom as I had taken a Personal Room with attached Toilet. Everytime they use to say that it has gone to laundry. We didn't want to use our towels as we wanted to keep it dry and for Ghat snan .. So, please don't go by pictures & description uploaded by the Property Manager or fake customer reviews.. Don't book this slum even if they give you for free - your entire holy experience of Kashi trip will go for a toss - as your stay would not be comfortable- you have to manage with toilets outside in some hotel or near the Gate no. 4 near Kashi temple. So, think before you book - it's your money, it's your limited stay in Kashi after taking leaves from your professional work - don't let it ruin your...
Read morePathetic place to stay. If you want mental peace then stay away from this stay. We booked a 5 dorm beds in a 6 sharing dorm room. When we reached after traveling for 16 hours we were told that we have to pay extra for AC dorms, our booking wasn't showing Non-AC dorms, but they said if we had to stay in AC then we had to pay extra. We denied paying any extra money and adjusted to the 6 sharing non AC dorm room. But the place was dirty, and there wasn't a soap in the washroom, and washroom wasn't ventilated at all, which made the room stink badly. One of 5 dorm beds even didn't have a curtain to restrict light while sleeping. The room was full of mosquitoes, therefore, we shut the door. We called the staff at the reception to help us with a soap which he earlier promised to give, but to our surprise another staff came to our room and started behaving extremely rudely, he said that he won't be giving any soap to us, and started lashing out on us for keeping the doors shut. It was 1 am in the night, and this guy went to an extent wherein he said that he would cancel our booking if we demand a soap or keep the doors shut, and therefore he would ensure that we leave the hotel at the midnight. When we countered him by saying that we had expensive luggage with us, including couple of laptops because we were working remotely, then he said "Nobody is interested in your luggage".
Travellers I want you to know that this happened to our group which comprised 5 adult men. They were extremely unruly, the place is immensely untidy and shady, and there is absolutely no value for money. The only good thing is it's location. But there are plethora of hostels out there. Stay safe, stay happy by avoiding...
