Hotel Silver Arcade Premier — Hotel in West Bengal

The hotel is far from Malda railway station, but worth it. The USP of this hotel is the staff. Excellent support from staff. The single room in which I stayed was a bit small, but had good interiors and all the facilities. The bath room had body lotion/shampoo/cream. Dental kit/oil etc were absent. The house keeping staff missed to clean my room when I returned in evening, however they were nice enough to offer me a temporary room till the cleaning was done. It was a large double bed room with quality interiors. The food in the restaurant was good. The breakfast was a let-down. Only some fruits/bread/cornflakes. Parathas and omelette were available on order, non-chargeable. The pickp and drop services from railway station is costly. Experienced a horrible situation on sunday oct 17 when along with my family I went to Silver arcade hotel.A glass table was placed on the lobby of the hotel.All of a sudden the glass fell down and was broken when my 6 years old nephew tried to sit on that.It was absolutely unintentional as he is a mere kid.But the entire authority including the general manager ,the receptionist and some other person showed extremely rude behaviour towards us.N ot only that they also charged rs4000/- for that glass.When we wanted to see proof whether the glass actually cost 4000 or not they failed to show any such proof.T he glass accidentally fell down and it might hurt the kid as the glass was misplaced.R ather we paid the whole amount and also faced unexpected harassment.Such a showoff mentalit y of the entire authority we came across.Disgusting.Request to the visitors try to...

Foreigners in the area for a visit to the fabulous ruins at Gaur, we were delighted with our stay at the Silver Arcade. We noticed none of the noise problems mentioned in another review, which reflects well on the hotel’s sound proofing considering its location in the heart of town and near the train station. ||While the lobby and common areas are quite small, the guest rooms are new and truly top notch, with pleasing decor and excellent appointments. As for the restaurant, while breakfast was only average, our dinner was truly superb. We ordered simply, just fried dhal and Kadhai Paneer, but the flavors were simply fabulous, making it quite clear that someone there really knows how to cook.
