Please please don't ever stay in this hotel. There is no free pickup or drop of , or wifi, or clean comfortable rooms or even a proper place to sit and eat. Any previuos reviews that say this are lying.||We (couple with infant) booked this hotel through Makemytrip due to its location near airport as we had to catch the flight next morning to home . We were travelling for 18 hrs from Indonesia to reach Kolkata at 11.50 pm on the night India demonitised the 500 n 1k notes. we had booked an executive room with king bed as the photos of the room in the webpage impressed. ||but the reality was a horrible experience. When we reached there around 12.30am (the neighbourhood was dirty, scary with lots of stray dogs, smelly), the attendant showed us 2 standard rooms to choose, one with a big bed other with twin beds. But when I complained that I had booked an executive room, he told us that he cant provide because all other rooms are occupied. He made a call to the other property they had, and told us that there is a good room ready for us. So again we had to carry all our luggage to a different building in that middle of the night a walk some five minutes away on the same dirty street. Here the room was same as the previous ones, moldy, smelly, badly light, box type with stained towels and sheets, torn sofa etc. My infant would not even get down on the bed and cried her heart out. she is so not used to this dingy rooms which seems like more of a cheap dirty roadside motel. The worst was the kitchen which would serve us the breakfast next morning. piles of uncleaned used dry plates and other utensils were lying everywhere with cockroaches roaming around. Since we were dead tired after the long flights we decided to just stay and spend the night somehow and not go anywhere else (it was difficult to carry all luggages ,the baby in the night in an unknown place roaming around to find a place without prior booking).||The bathroom is really small, hardly enough to get in, forget about having a shower. No exhaust fan.||The room itself was just on the level of the flyover (4th floor), so be ready to wake up to the Kolkata traffic at 4am. In the morning my baby wanted to look outside the window and we so removed the curtains, horror! someone's panties were hanging for drying on the window grill and anthills were on the window sill. my hubby quickly closed the windows again and we just ran out of the place to reach airport like 4 hrs before our flight.||The positives, well the attendants didn't argue when I called them cheats.||PLease refrain yourself to book in here, but if you are desperate and alone (only men) you can get in for the night. ||Don't go by the photos on the internet and please also always book on the standard room rate because there are no different rooms, only difference is twin or single bed, not the quality. ||All the positive reviews (which fooled me) are actually by the hotels own people and not by actual customers. they didn't say no when I...
Read moreWe originally only planned to use this as a transit hotel, but since the hotel turned out to be pretty decent, we decided to stay there for our remaining 2 nights in Kolkata. ||||The room was basic and you get what you pay for. It wouldn't pass any white glove test, but it was clean enough for me & my family. The noise from the street below was loud, but I think that's pretty much to be expected of any hotel located near a busy street. ||||The free airport pick up & drop off was great. The hotel location made it easy to escape to the airport without having to worry about running into traffic. The Dum Dum metro stop is about a 20 min walk or 100 Rupee tuk-tuk ride. Staff were very friendly & very flexible with the free breakfast hours. Maybe they offered other items, but they prepared omelettes with toast the 1st morning and we just asked for the same the rest of the time we were there. The hot water, A/C, & WiFi worked fine for us. I was told by locals that we could have stayed on Park St for less and be closer to better shopping & dining options, but I was pretty happy with the value for the money. ||||Bring cash because they do not accept...
Read moreGreat rooms, great staff and excellent location.||The hotel is right on the Jessore Road and walking distance from Nager Bazaar bus stop. Nestled among other commercial establishments and is the best place to stay in budget near the airport. The airport is merely 4 kms and close to Kolkata Railway station (Chitpur).||The initial looks maybe a bit clumsy due to the building being shared by other commercial establishments like an ATM, sweet shop, bank account others.||Coming to the hotel, it has an elevator as it's on the 2nd and 3rd floor, so no problem on that part. The reception had been made minimal due to lack of space.||The rooms are huge, I literally mean huge with all facilities. There are bed options ranging from 2 beds and if required 3. The air-conditioning is apt and works great. The decor of room is good. The bathrooms are proper in size with geyser and showers in proper condition.||Special mention for one of the staff, Raju, excellent person, very patient and helpful.||My next trip to Kolkata and this hotel stays right on my itinerary if required.||They have 2 units at the same place just a couple of...
