Hotel Taaj — Restaurant in West Bengal

The worst restaurant ever! We went there on 2nd May at around 9:00 pm in the evening and we ordered chicken Biriyani and chicken do piyaza. In my Biriyani I found blood in the chicken bone and I was sure this was not cleaned and cooked with proper care and observation. When I report such things to the restaurant guy he just listened to me n went off. Again I insisted him to talk to the manager regarding this issue and he came and said to me that this will not happen in future and that’s it there was no shame or regret in his behaviour. I asked to get the bill I couldn’t finish my Biriyani as it was so terrible.. at time of billing I see there was no concession made by the restaurant authority and I was shocked as they did not offer me to change my dish and even they didn’t compromise with the bill. Unfortunately I had to pay the full amount n it was truly wastage of money. The manager and the waiter both were ill mannered and not helpful.. when I asked to the manager to look after the food before serving he told with an overbearing attitude that we are running 25 years successfully!!! Manager behaviour should be highly condemned. I had a bad food poison and diarrohea on the very same night and this is only due to the horrendous quality food offered by Hotel Taj..!! Even they dare to kill their customers by their awful food..I will not rate this restaurant event a zero star.. Truly worst...

I recently ordered from Hotel Taaj, Nagerbazar, and I’m thoroughly impressed with the quality and taste of the food.

✅ Special Paneer Kassa [6 Pieces] – Absolutely delicious! The paneer was soft and fresh, and the rich, flavorful gravy had the perfect blend of spices. A must-try for paneer lovers.

✅ Egg Fried Rice – Perfectly cooked rice with just the right amount of veggies and egg. The flavors were balanced, not too oily, and very satisfying.

✅ Mixed Fried Rice – Superb mix of chicken, prawns, and veggies. Each bite was flavorful, and the portion size was generous. Loved it!

✅ Boneless Chilli Chicken – Tender pieces of chicken in a spicy, tangy sauce. The dish had a nice balance of heat and flavor, making it a great accompaniment to the fried rice.

The food arrived hot and fresh, packaging was neat, and the delivery was quick even despite the rainy weather.
